So was watching some of Nathan drivers YouTube videos on fitting bits to his meglio (not sure if he is on here or not)

And all of a sudden my bank balance went down and got a order confirmation for k tec
(Well that is what I will be telling the wife lol)

Know it's the waiting game for it to arrive [emoji13]

Decided to get the clio on the ramp today and got the all the grills and wing vents pulled out as they will be going to the body shop to be painted satin black along with the new Renault badge

Also got my fog light air ducts from [mention]RSRowe [/mention]fitted they are a very nice fitting piece then it was on to the the head lamp washer blanks

Now it's a waiting game for the grills to be painted and my ktec racing package to turn up

Quick snap of her looking sorry for her self back on the drive way

So what was in the package [emoji848]

It's not the most exciting thing in the world but it will definitely make the car look a lot better and who don't like new car parts makes a change from the missus Amazon packages lol

So we have a brand new genuine Renault sport from lip for the 197 [emoji847]

Will get some pictures of it posted up when I get a spare few minutes

Pulled the 197 out of the garage the other day to give it a good clean because it had just been sitting in the drive way for a month or so and was filthy (as some of you know I don't currently drive the 197 as don't need it for work and use the missus daily if we go out anywhere and this was bought to be more of a fun/track car but it's nice to have to just to tinker with one day it will see the road)

Now I have moved on to get out the snapped bumper to wing bolts out (previous owner snapped and never sorted)

Next on the list after reading/advice from [mention]burrellbloke [/mention] [mention]EthanMenace [/mention]thread is to do away with the washer bottle and fit a small bottle so I can run the ducting for the fog light ducts thanks lads for the link to the bottle [emoji1360]

will update with that stuff soon [emoji1362]

So the new washer bottle turned up from Amazon

Again big thanks to [mention]EthanMenace [/mention][mention]burrellbloke [/mention] for the tip on what bottle to use it fits like a glove

so set about getting the old set up out and before you knew it I had started on mounting the new one [emoji23]
8b5acd9a4c6176bfb17064629c273a9f.jpg

All mounted and wired quick leak check and a few zip ties later and it was time to fill it up with screen wash [emoji1362]

I did not fit the standard full neck as as the head light was hitting it so must of mounted my bottle slightly higher or lower then the other lads

Nice long flexible Funnel will do the trick for when it needed to be filled up for the time being

Definitely need to replace the washer jets with some fancy fan type jets

Now we have room to start on the brake cooling ducting just need to get the arch liners back in and work out the position to hole saw for the duct3d adapters [emoji1360]

So see a post on the Facebook rs197/200 page about a lad who removed the vinyl bit on the door where it meets the rear quarter glass and I liked the look of it so I set about doing mine tonight

I had the idea of just heating it up and pulling it off in one bit wow was I wrong it took about a hour to do one door as it come off in tiny little flakes and left the crap glue behind

Some tar and glue remover made light work of getting that off then a quick hand Polish with some scratch remover and it don't look half bad I think a quick pass with a Machine polisher would make a proper job of it and make it look 100%

The other door can wait till another night lol [emoji3062]

Finally got around to doing the passage side pillar vinyl removal

treated the garage to a new heat gun (Amazon special) and is actually pretty decent for £15

the heat gun worked a treat have the vinyl off in about 15 minutes then just the sticky residue left to clean up and auto finesse tar and glue remover done it's magic again [emoji1360]

0ca931865789dc260a2b045e3e90c3e8.jpg

will have to get some pictures now it's all off and the same black side strips are all fitted just need to re fit the door handle and mirror cap and that is that little task complete amd time to move on to the next lol

Been a bit quiet on here as of late just been collecting parts as fingers crossed we should have some nice plans coming in to action in a few months [emoji1694]

Have been doing a few things found out that the water housing behind the alternator was leaking so a call to renault later we had a new housing/seal & pipe delivered also treated the clio to one of pms very good looking ac delete kits (shame no one sees it when it's all fitted)

So set about stripping all the ac component out and replacing the water housing and pipe at the same time

please excuse how dirty/dusty the 197 is she had been tucked up in the garage for nearly a year now poor thing but hopefully not for much longer
