Well I've been out in it. Fantastic bit of kit. It's nothing like the 200 though. The gearbox was, although on some changes it was quick and smooth, others weren't so. It handled beautifully, wasn't too firm and coped with bumps well. The brakes are brilliant! Personally think they're better than the Brembos. The car was very easy to drive and in fully auto it was very comfortable.
The downsides though, I hate the digital speedo, it's too slow to react. The interior doesn't look like it's £22k worth of car. The button for example on the gear selector feels very cheap. The window switches feel horrible and sound even worse. There's so many different colours and textures going on it's messy. Gloss black, orange, red, matte black, etc. Overall I felt a little detached from the driving experience I used to get in the 197. It's far better in general conditions, but if you're looking for a driver's car it's not as good. Average mpg was only an eye watering 13.5 too! Even though this demo does get driven hard most of the time.

Have you thought about the Cayman, N0ddie? A friend has a bright orange Cayman S Sport (pretty rare tbh) which is used on track, lovely bit of kit with the soundtrack to boot.

That's what I was considering too. But maybe a Subaru BRZ instead as there isn't as many of them. lol

I do like the BRZ slightly more, particularly in the Scoob Blue.
Those brakes are amazing - speaking to an RS rep he said in every test they out performed the previous brembos.
Also the MPG - that'll be on all mileage. The 1.5 DCi's come off the transporter with like an average of 6 MPG. A lot of say doing nothing.
On the road they were pretty good - I was getting 29-32 when I was giving it some and casual driving through villages - standard driving then.
The 44 mark will only be hit on a long run. I got 37.8 MPG in my 200 on the Motorway drive down - super ECO! As for the way back - 27... Yeah haha
But they are good fun - still undecided about whether I would trade mine in for one.
How did you find all that torque? Can't half feel the difference?
Never been a fan of their looks tbh. Also not the best car for putting kids in the back.
GT86 has rear isofix seats and room for baby seats which mean the wee man and any future little brothers or sisters can also get in the 86.
The only issue with the scoob is the 3yr warranty. Toyota offers 5yrs on the GT86 which sucks really since mechanically they're exactly the same (except spring rates). But the scoob looks better and that blue... Oh my. The GT86 most of the colours are naff, the blue, black and grey are all REALLY boring. Orange or white FTW . They do cost a good bit more than the Clio though.
