Insurance quote *shocked*

Just had the renewal for my car come through and Bell who I am with now, wanted an extra £50 this year so I did a quick check on comparethemarket.com and was shocked when I got the figure back of £370 with Endsleigh for the year and no one else could even get close.

With Bell they quoted £550 for 10 months that’s a £180+ saving.

Pays to shop around and I never use comparison websites as a rule.

Always pays to shop around these days, especially with it being so easy to do.

You are lucky at 23 to get insurance that cheap!!!! I'm 30 this year, and I am going to be paying £450 lol.

But yes comparison sites are well worth it!!!!

It even pays to look at companies not on the comparison ones too. Last time round aviva hammered the cheapest confused.com qoute I got.

Thats a brilliant price. With the save that mine has been falling (1300, 860, 650) I would be quite happy if it continued but I cant see it. TBH I am happy paying 500-600 its not too bad at all really.

Mine came down by almost £400 this year, due to upgrading to the 200.

Last year: £1170 on the 172, but I got a refund when I swapped to the 200.
This year: £800... Awwww yeaahhhh!!!

Feels good to rejoin the "Sub £1k Insurance Crew". I wont be leaving it again!!!

Im 21 years old btw. Im still going to shop around and look at the specialists, but im quite happy with that price considering.

Just renewed my insurance, been with Direct line for 5 years and they wanted 750 quid to insure the Clio this time. Shopped around for a few weeks and managed to get it for 500 quid. Still think thats expensive though as im 28 with 7 years NCB

Im guessing the OP lives in a good area postcode wise to get it so cheap! Thats just under half of mine and im 26 with full NCB :/

I think I must have some hidden criminal record given how much mine cost.... (note i think our postcode is graded F for being especially dodgy, despite crime/car crime being generally none existant)

I'll just be happy if it's under a grand at renewal :worried:

That's amazingly cheap at 23 years old. Mine will be over double that when I renew (I'm 22) and I have a good postcode!

Think i need to move house to a better post code, mine doubled on the 200 this year to £1036
42 yrs old, no points, 14 yrs NCB
So its either the post code making it high or they have seen the way i drive.

Cheapest quote I just got for renewal was £929, 34 years old with full no claims. The dreaded wa postcode.

Mine more than doubled. Previous premium was something like £350 fully comp on my R27 and when I bought the 200 i just updated the policy to the new car for something like 20 quid. When I got the renewal through last November RAC (brokers) wanted £860!!!!!!!

I live near Chichester (which is hardly crime central) and have never made a claim (touch wood) in 20 years of driving.

Went to Admiral and ended up paying £300. Shop it certainly does pay to shop around.

Yes im going to shop around a bit more next time, i did have a little shop around but they were all around the same price so i just kept the one i was with.

I pay circa £700 for mine at 23 (4NCB, 0 points/convictions) but I'm limited to who I can go with as most insurers wont insure the GF (20) on it until she's 21. Hopfully renewal this year will be much cheaper
