Thanks - that sounds like good advice. We are using two sets of 7.5j Speedlines so apart from the wheel weights hopefully there will be no other fitment issues.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll double check the wheel weights when it all goes on.For what its worth I have always run the standard elf 75w80 with a plated diff and my gear changes have always been silky and the diff has been fine. But I don’t do trackdays, so my runs are shorter.
You should notice a massive difference with the Megane calipers and 330mm discs. Made a huge difference for me. The 2 piece godspeed discs are a good bit heavier though. The calipers are tight to the standard wheels. If you have any balancing weights near the outside they probably need removed. Keep that in mind before spinning the wheels!
I just found much better braking performance. I changed from the standard calipers on 312mm discs to the 330mm discs and megane calipers. Thanks for the tip! I’ll double check the wheel weights when it all goes on.
What difference did you find? Having never experienced it I’m just assuming bigger means more heat dissipation. Does it feel different as well?
Looking forward to getting them fitted!I just found much better braking performance. I changed from the standard calipers on 312mm discs to the 330mm discs and megane calipers.
Exact same PBS pro race compound of pads on the old and new setup. I really like these pads on the Clio for the price.
After fitting I took a spin down the road and stood on the brakes to test and bed in the pads etc and couldn’t believe the stopping power difference.
On the 330mm kit yes. On the 340mm kit no.Do the Meg 3 callipers fit behind stock wheels?
Haven't had any issues yet other than the tyre place not being able to balance the wheel. The machine they had said the weight must go out towards the face and if you didn't put it there and put it further inside it threw it off. Not sure if that would be common with all balancers or not.@av4625 do you get any issues when the brakes get hot? In terms of fitment
I will let you know when they melt or explode after a few track days.@av4625 do you get any issues when the brakes get hot? In terms of fitment
