Which Car park did you park in? Not that it makes much difference. I usual use the Multi Story car park, out door Top level.

I always stick to the multi story too, but this is where it was parked! You're just not safe anywhere! Lol! I was on the 3rd floor though. Not sure if I'll be parking it at Merry Hill ever again!

I managed to park there this lunch time and come away scratch free. I think its just one of those things isnt it. Could happen to anyone anywhere and not specificaly to a 197, unless they were a corsa VXR owner haha

If its down to the primer(white) on both sides a full respray along both sides would be needed,if during rub down it goes back to metal etch primer will be needed .You could be looking at £1750 for a good body shop to do.

^^^^really??!! On red? I only paid 1050 for a new bumper, spoiler, sprayed fitted, job done. Thats on LY as well, and you would never no.

Woody197 is coming to do it for me on Sunday. He's confident that he can fix it 99% without a respray. The other side is nowhere near as bad, it's almost gone with some Scratch X 2 and some polish.

Just read through this thread. What a**holes. I really don't understand what goes through some peoples heads. I love seeing nice cars when i'm out shopping etc.. I cant understand why someone would want to do that.

Matt's working on the car, seems to be going ok. Na, they had no CCTV unfortunately. Police can't really do a lot more.

Well the job didn't go very well! I'm sure those of you who went to the FCS know from looking at my poor car! It needs some serious work doing on it now. There's the sratch which you can still see, orange peel effect, dull areas, over spray, run paint and an empty wallet! Sorry Matt, but I'm not very happy at all. I know you tried hard. It's going to cost me even more now to get it fixed.

Don't know, I've been emailing a guy from midlands detailing about it to see if he can work with what has already been done. But I've got to take the car to him so he can have a look at it under the lights. He's in West Brom. Might be able to take it over for him to look at tomorrow night so he can give me his opinion on what is best.

I don't think Paul/Martin will be able to do a thing with that. They achieved a 90% correction on my 197 and that was mild swirls. I hate to say it but that wil be a respray. Bit out of your way but a bloke in Northfield did my wife's punto and all I can say is that he's a genius to blend in what she did to the car. Feel even more for you now bud. Can't say I noticed it though yesterday.
