ummm i smell a rat

Got my car back after it's little brake problem all sorted ,
They freed the rear calipers and fitted new pads foc:smile:

Now the bad bit coming home put the brakes on and a big clunk from the rear:001_rolleyes:This happened a few times when braking then suddenly stopped.

All good then i thought ,went to check the alloy key was put back and when i opened the boot the tyre inflater aerosol cans were out of the case and rolling about,How did this happen doing the brakes?

Further inspection and found a small ding in the bonnet i'm sure wasn't there before and there seems to be some added miles(20ish):whatever: and petrol consumed .Seems a long road test?

ummmmm someone had a play?

Not going there again

Phil

...I log the mileage and fuel (range) and tell them what it is (and take a photo)....I also make sure I walk around the car with the manager and agree condition...that is when I am forced to take it to the dealers....use a specialist who I trust for servicing....

I have a photo of every panel thats clearly shows date taken i even used to check tread depths. I dont trust the scrotey mechanics

When i used to work as a mechanic back in the day i saw it all. Anything with the slightest sporting crudentials was used as an industrial estate lap record breaker. I remember a rather momentous time with a red S2000 in the rain, and that was the garage manager driving!

^^^now I'm scared to leave mine with anyone^^^....I remember the story recently about a F599 being smashed up by a young techi......

This is a main dealer my car went to never again will i use them:whatever:

I only went there as my mate who is a good mech and mot tester is on his hols thought i could trust them as ive been there before but it seems they have let themselves down, i shant even get parts from them now .

Service coming up mate is going to do it along with mot and in contact with twingogeeko for the parts for it :thumbup1:

dont forget the R34 GTR that was dropped off for valeting then written off.....

for reasons such as this i only trust certain people to work on my cars. one experience i had was dropping my car off for lowering at a supposed reoutable garage............... i got the car back with the torsion bar set 40mm lower than asked, 1/4 a tank of fuel gone, 30 odd miles on the clock, and the interior blathered in grease / dust / mud.

i was un happy to say the least.

I would never ever ever trust Dinnages with my car, ever.

Their sales team are pretty good, but I have heard horror stories about the servicing section there.

I was immensely put off going there for anything when they just wouldn't take me seriously when I wanted a test drive in a 197. It was only when I moaned by email to the manager, they made the effort and called me to arrange a test drive. But I still didn't buy mine from there, even if they could have got me one, I wouldn't have bought it from there.

*Note, this is my OPINION*

I've learnt a lesson Mike ,always seemed ok but obviously not all they seem
to be

I remember the last time my car was in for a service, i was in my work van and drove past the car on my way to work and waved due to thinking it was my mum (forgetting it was in the garage) not to say i wasn't happy but to be honest they had taken the car out to test the new brakes and had increased petrol consumption so i was happy.

Still trying to figure out how they increased it though. But i don't think my car will ever get serviced by a garage again, i have too many well known and reputable mates that can do these things that have the proper qualifications.

The day my car failed it's first MOT was a Saturday, and the day before the warranty expired. They didn't give a monkeys about it!!! More or less told me to go sort it elsewhere. So I did :smile::smile::smile:
