Been a busy bank holiday weekend, progress has been made! A lot of little tidy up jobs ticked off. First of all, gone are those plate holders and old plates... Fresh pressed plates which I ceramic coated before putting on
I think that was a hex head once upon a time!?
Next is one of the parts i've been desperate to fit... Always wanted a cup spoiler on my R27 but never got around to it. When Ash was selling one in red, with carbon end plates I had to grab it! The end plates do need a sand down and re-lacquer but that will be for another day
The Cup spoiler just completes the back of the car!
Up next was a full decontamination wash! The wheels are rough and letting down the whole car, years and layers of brake dust. I used my Wheel acid and foam cleaner combo for a super aggressive clean. They will be sent off for a refurbish sooner rather than later!

Not perfect but considering how bad and embedded the dirt was on there, i'll take it!
Next was the rest of the car, this consisted of using a citrus pre-cleaner, a potent snow foam which strips any old waxes and coatings off, pressure wash in all the gaps. A full contact wash, then hit it with a iron and tar remover with snow foam over top to allow the iron to dwell, while that was doing it's thing I used the snow foam as a lubricant to go over the entire car with a clay bar
Next on the list are the door bullets, these have seen better days and the silver just doesn't suit the look I want, so off they came for some paint! Of course have to clean while your there! Also ordered new side indicator lenses as they are a bit grotty and one is letting water in.
And finally, treated some of the plastic trims with a trim restorer to get some of the black back into the plastics. Not perfect but definitely better!
Still waiting on some other bits to turn up, interior is in of some love and freshening up! Waiting for a few dry days to do that!
