Hi everyone, just a small update. Had a random flashing amber check engine light which lasted all of 5-10 seconds and that was it. Plugged it in to get a misfires code
Decided to rule some bits out so ordered 4 new Pencil coils and a new map sensor, Also gave me a reason to fit the stud kit I bought previously for the coils

Nice easy straight forward job, the coils I pulled out did look a little worse for wear. Each one was Renault brand and had a blue spot on top, so not sure if all are possibly the original ones?
The other small job I did was clean the PCV valve out as I've seen a few people do that with mixed results, didn't see any harm in trying. Small bit of oil build up but nothing crazy...

Took the car for a quick test drive, not sure if it's placebo, the new map sensor or coils or a mix. But the car feels so much more responsive, doesn't break up as much down low and feels all around smoother. Throttle response seemed to have improved also? Need to take it on a longer stint to really see, but from first impressions it was 100% worth the 20 minutes and £100!
Still got other small tidy up jobs on the list to get through, Also anyone got any recommendations for a wheel refurb place around Worcestershire/West mids?
