Done a few more easy bits which makes a huge difference to the overall appearance in my opinion!
Firstly was the rear diffuser, the grey plastic against the red looked really drab. So took it off, gave everything a clean and painted it satin black!
Not the best photo but much better! Contrasts the red nicely!
I then tackled the weather strips on the B pillars and the vinyl on the doors... Only got around to doing the drivers vinyl as it was disgustingly hot! Will do the passenger at some point...
One of the front indicator bulbs blew so took the opportunity to replace both for silver ones.
Now onto the interior. The stock stereo was woeful, wouldn't pick up any radio stations and the lack of Bluetooth is just dire. So swapped it out for a mid range head unit, might look into changing the speakers down the line. I do have the steering wheel controls adapter and fascia left to fit but haven't got around to it
Lastly, the biggest thing I've been wanting to change since getting the car... The sticky, peeling steering wheel and gear knob. Got speaking to Otto Retrims, as I also wanted a matching Gaiter to tie it all in together! But I was undecided on the gear knob material, I was leaning toward perforated leather but he had never done one in that so I was the test subject, glad I went with it!
But I will say, removing the Airbag was a pig of a job!
Super Happy with the result and Otto Retrims was a pleasure to deal with, great communication throughout!
Got a few smaller bits I need to get done, mainly the door handles, also has anyone replaced the handle buttons before as mine don't work, require soldering?
Since having the car I've had a wheel judder at 70mph, had the tracking done and that hasn't really helped, hopefully just a wheel weight has fallen off! Need to rotate the wheels and see if the problem moves.
Other thing I've noticed is the AC compressor makes a whiny noise on and off, would that be clutch? Don;t really know much about them, it's not all the time though
Still many plans in the pipework!
