i hear the supersprint till 3.5 rpm and from than its like the genuine one ... all the bass has gone and at 5.5 rpm-+ its noticeable again but just bit ,sometimes from low rev to the rev limiter the exhaust sound TOTAL GENUINE o.o( i think some air leak between silencer to backbox but not sure )

I'm sure someone has answered this already, but can someone in the know clear somethings up for me.
The difference between Resonated and non-resonated is just the centre box/silencer, non-res being louder?
If I have a non-resonated exhaust I will either need a remap or have a flat spot?
This is my understanding please correct me if I'm wrong.
The resonated system has a middle silencer, or resonator, the non-res is a straight through system from the cat to the rear box silencers. I think the non-res gives more of a flat spot, but a map should be done as a pre-requisite, even with a standard system.
I have a resonated Scorpion and I don't notice much of a flat spot, but then I probably wouldn't recognise it in the first place!
Thanks guys. Thinking about a milltek but not sure I don't really want to fork out on the exhaust and need a remap straight away. I'm very tight lol.Yes, the non-res is the louder of the two, because of the missing centre silencer.
Any aftermarket exhaust can make the flat spot seem worse, but not necessarily all. I have a resonated Scorpion and honestly haven't noticed any difference with it - I have got the tie wraps on the map sensor though, so that pretty much got rid of the flat spot anyway. There is always the chance you might need/want a remap afterward though - it does improve overall drivability - so bear it in mind if you did get an exhaust

I've only had the car about 3 weeks and to be honest I haven noticed any flat spot. No idea if the previous owner did something. Do you have a picture and I'll have a look?Well going from personal experience as above, I don't think I'll 'need' a remap - you might not either, you might be happy with it just the way it is. A lot of people who have a flat spot tend to 'drive around' it anyway. It comes down to personal preference, it's by no means a must if you did go for the Milltek.
Have you done the map sensor mod/fix with the tie wraps?
