With the Supersprint Race backbox you get a nice deep burble and pops in between gear changes.... Sound bloody lovely!

Just ordered myself a Pure Motorsport 197 Exhaust. Nick and the guys have great attention to detail, build quality is always great and their service is perfect.

Will do a mini review when I receive it.

there is any other fellas here That installed supersprint "racing" backbox and can confirm if they have this too:
i hear the supersprint till 3.5 rpm and from than its like the genuine one ... all the bass/echo has gone and at 5.5 rpm-+ its noticeable again but just a bit ,sometimes from low rev to the rev limiter the exhaust sound COMPLETELY GENUINE o.o( i think some air leak between silencer to backbox but not sure )

Hello mate, my supersprint race was still a lot louder than the standard system even when i had the standard center section. It would be impossible to compare the two it was like night and day. Perhaps the air leak maybe the reason yours is so quiet but i wouldnt of thought so...

Toomer its not like its quiet ( it is loud much more than standard ) but sometimes its sounds quieter and tbh the sound it makes not that steady one run this way and another run this way .
I think something messed up somewhere in my exhaust sys my car sound/feel steady till 3 rpm and 3-3.5 car vibrate abit and the sounds become loud . after 3.5 till 5k it become quieter and from 5k it start screaming

I'm sure someone has answered this already, but can someone in the know clear somethings up for me.

The difference between Resonated and non-resonated is just the centre box/silencer, non-res being louder?

If I have a non-resonated exhaust I will either need a remap or have a flat spot?

This is my understanding please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, the non-res is the louder of the two, because of the missing centre silencer.

Any aftermarket exhaust can make the flat spot seem worse, but not necessarily all. I have a resonated Scorpion and honestly haven't noticed any difference with it - I have got the tie wraps on the map sensor though, so that pretty much got rid of the flat spot anyway. There is always the chance you might need/want a remap afterward though - it does improve overall drivability - so bear it in mind if you did get an exhaust

The resonated system has a middle silencer, or resonator, the non-res is a straight through system from the cat to the rear box silencers. I think the non-res gives more of a flat spot, but a map should be done as a pre-requisite, even with a standard system.
I have a resonated Scorpion and I don't notice much of a flat spot, but then I probably wouldn't recognise it in the first place!

Thanks guys. Thinking about a milltek but not sure I don't really want to fork out on the exhaust and need a remap straight away. I'm very tight lol.

Well going from personal experience as above, I don't think I'll 'need' a remap - you might not either, you might be happy with it just the way it is. A lot of people who have a flat spot tend to 'drive around' it anyway. It comes down to personal preference, it's by no means a must if you did go for the Milltek.

Have you done the map sensor mod/fix with the tie wraps?

I've only had the car about 3 weeks and to be honest I haven noticed any flat spot. No idea if the previous owner did something. Do you have a picture and I'll have a look?
