Just a small update...

Yesterday morning before work i decided to spray the old front grills matt black after priming them to see what they would look like this morning and then maybe fit them. Reason for doing so it just because i was way too over enthusiastic about my cleaning regime prior to FCS and got the toothbrush out to clean the grills.

All i can say is that i think i took some of whatever coats the standard grills......off!

Looked at them this morning and loved the new look so i went ahead and fitted them!

Hope you like, certainly a marked improvement i think.

Yeh really does! Its just like all my horrible problems of ONLY looking at those grills when the car is in the shade only are gone!!

Yeh thats what i thought!

Couple of tins of paint from halfords and the job was done! TBF there was nothing wrong with them until i went mental with a toothbrush .

But better than going and spending another £80 on new ones at Renault!

I have massive hands lol so went another way...

Get your fingers behind the bottom corner of the grille nearest the headlight and pull. They will just pop out!

Yup! I cut my arms up doing it my way lol.

No pain if you do it the way I mentioned, a few people have done it that way (I read the method on here!) so don't worry about breaking the grilles.

I should of done when i think it about now......as i didnt need those grills anyway!

Could start a grill spraying business!!

And the grills look great! As with the 172/182, the faded standard grill ruins the front end.
