Onto a different matter, Tyres. Mine are roughly 4mm at the front, so I will be looking to get some new fronts May time. What do people recommend? I currently have Goodyear Eagle F1 AS3, but want to try something different. I have seen the Kumho Ecsta Le Sport KU39 for quite cheap with good reviews. I ideally don't want to spend over £90 a tyre if I can help it (as I only got these last May, but they've lasted a year).

I'm running the Kumho Ecstas, I'm on my second set now, and honestly can't fault them. Just as good as the Continentals that I had previously, and the wet grip is really good. The wear rate is good, and they are under £70 a tyre too, so very good value.

@Greg0986 can't comment on the wear with the turbo as it's dark when I leave in the morning and dark when I get home at night! They seem to be holding up well after 2 months though! They've been on for 18months/15-16,000 miles and still have plenty of meat on them, if I can get to my Spa trip in April with them I'll be more than happy.

It's honestly never bothered me, it's not loud at all. Put it this way , if you can live with an aftermarket exhaust then I wouldn't worry about it.

It's got a grey nipple type thing that sticks out and if you try and lock the car without it pressed in the car makes a high pitch wining noise.

Anyway it's this bracket thing that's rusty as hell.

Sport Contact 3, have them on my R27 (original tyres) and my wife's car. I have Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on the 182 which are great when warm and the road is dry but terrible when they are cold and the road is wet! My opinion on tyres is find a brand that you like/trust and then stick with it. I only use Pirellis on my bike.
 
Interesting, the new oil dipstick is metal, compared to the plastic one that snapped. It's also easier to see what the level of oil is now, as it was difficult on the plastic one. And it should be sturdier...

My Rainsports are great, my Hankooks are scary as hell.

They don't wear that well from what I've seen but then again when I used to run Toyo they literally lasted years but shouldn't have being a soft compound.

No bad thing though. Especially if they are cheap......which they are.

Far as i'm concerned: If they aren't wearing out - they aren't gripping.

No point having these cars and skimping £20 a corner on some hard-as-nails Yankang ditch-finder tyres.
