i think it really needs the decals to break up all the grey the meganes is my girl freinds

so after the rolling road day on saturday my worst fears were confirmed :worried: the car is down on power alot since i got it back it felt slow and seemed to be getting worse the rollers gave me a print out of 203bhp although still the most powerful clio on the rolling road day i was very dissapointed as last time i was there i got a respectable 250bhp.

i drove it imeadiatley to my freinds work where we did a warm engine compression test and got not only low results of 110psi 90psi 130psi 130psi but they are clearly not close to eachother thinking that engines were supposed to be tested cold i talked my self into it was the turbo as it had a small amount of play.

this did not have the desired affect it felt quicker but not by alot i then found out engines are supposed to be tested hot so basicly either my rings are gone head gasket or valve is dead so bring on the engine rebuild and a few finishing touches the car really needs like revisions to vacume pipes cooling system and heat sheilding.

so after a long day i managed to get the engine out and striped down to just a block.I didnt get an pictures as i forgot my phone ill get a load more on the way back in.

Once the pistons were removed i found clynder 2 piston ringland was cracked :worried: luckily i have a spare piston.The block is now at roland alsops getting block de glazed and hes supplying me piston rings and new shells .17328034_1536676066355990_987245437_n.jpg

However while the engines out ive decided to do all the niggley jobs that are alot easier while the engines out listed below.

replace blue coolant pipes with black
blank off top rad and fit megane thermostat houseing with black pipe
heat wrap decat
repair melted abs loom
extend aux water pump loom
shorten lambda loom tidy up/ replace vaume pipes
replace ac pipe
fit nimbus heat sheild
replace clio top rad hose for megane item
replace header tank

i almost bit the bullet and forged the bottom end but i plan to travel again in july so just a standard rebuild is on the cards with arp bolts maybe a 250 turbo if i can find one for sub £300

just a little update managed to find a air con pipe that i think will fit off a 1.4 down the scrap yard for a tenner so ive fitted it and bent both ac pipes a little to clear the 3 inch decat thats been causing me some trouble then i fitted a much needed heat sheild and relocted the abs wiring and vacume pipes behind it
