197: RS Tuning and my clio RS197 full service and belts change cost :/

Nothing wrong with the price IMO. Parts and consumables are probably close to 280 which leaves more than a couple of hours work to do for 400. Not sure if I would do all that work for much less than 400 if I had a workshop. Wont a smaller car also needs belts etc done at 60,000? Do the coolant...

    Clio 200 speaker upgrade

From experience I can tell you it wont matter what speakers you put in there because the stock stereo is complete rubbish

    Button under the Gas Peddle????

I checked with the RS Monitor that when you press down and barely touch the button the throttle is at 95%. A fraction harder (but still not through the button) gives you 99% throttle so no real need to actually press it down (unless you really need that 1%)

    Springs Or Coils?

IMO if you have Cup dampers that are stiffer and shorter the H&R's are crashy and awful but it looks perfect. I just put stock springs back on and it's ugly but lovely to drive again.

    H&R spring rates for 200's?

Both Eibach and H&R replied to my emails: http://www.clio197.net/forum/showthread.php?8430-coil-springs-lb-in&p=374023&highlight=#post374023

Does anyone know if any stores like Halfords sell the snow foam lance. I'm in N. London and need one today. Cheers

Porsche GB HQ Tour - some nice metal - pic heavy

Totally agree, the flatnose looks amazing. I can't stand their 4x4's and the 4 door 911 is a crime against humanity but you can't fault the rest of their line up. They have truly made some incredible cars. Unlike any other of the top marques you can drive them all on a daily basis

    **UPDATE 16/08/13** Hankooks falling apart!!?!?

I'm a bit confused, are you showing us photos of where the tyre has been rubbing or are the photos showing us that it hasn't been rubbing. Surely the garage can't make a claim that it has been rubbing if there is no evidence to show that it has. Do you have spacers?

    Advice please..Dodgy Tyres..maybe

The funniest comment I've seen on this site so far. You bought a hot hatch but prefer it to handle like a nissan micra. You wasted your money buying an RS

    Working/living in the UK?

I was born in London and left 7 years ago aged 31. I will say this, go to the UK just so you can come back and appreciate how good we've got it here. The grass isn't greener but you'll probably need to go to find that out. It's great as a tourist but going to work every day in that **** weather...

    Front Speaker Question.

The 16.5's will fit if fitted above where your speaker grill is now but you'll need some mdf adapters made

    Front Speaker Question.

The 16.5 dont fit straight in but a fitter won't have much trouble.

    Front Speaker Question.

I'm not sure of the depth but there's quite a bit if you're fitting 13cm. I fitted Polk DXi 525 that need a mounting depth of 5.87cm and they fitted fine. If you're going for 16.5 you'll be mounting the speakers further out so you'll have even more space. If you're not fitting a sub 16.5 is the...

    Fed up!

My previous JCW Mini was just like the Renault in that it handled like a go kart but wasn't the easiest of cars to live with day to day (it was on H&R's) and good bored with it after a couple of years and bought a Mk2. TT. That was so smooth in comparison especially with the DSG. It was a nice...

    Back In

I agree, we did the same thing when I had my MkI Audi TT. The whole instrument cluster (that houses the immobiliser) was a problem and 600 pounds to replace. Start a thread, get everybody's comments and threaten to go to Watchdog. The TT problem actually aired on Watchdog and MOST guys had...

    H&R's now fitted

I took the car out for a spin tonight and have to say the handling is night and day. Sure there are compromises but it's worth it. On the one stretch of road there are two hairpins straight after each other taken screaming in 2 nd or in at lower revs in 3 rd. It used to be an under steering mess...
