Ashton's 200T EDC - Red Splitter Blade

Clubsports are now off and have been sent back to the suplier as they are not fit for purpose

Since day one had nothing but issues with the top mounts. Was bounced from pillar to post, suplier to KW, KW to suplier so they just got taken off

I am seriously out of pocket after paying to have them fitted then for 5.5 hours of work at Mark Fish then to have them removed again.

List of issues include:

1. The camber uniball isnt accessable when the strut is fitted to the car. No information is available to advise of this when making purchase decision even though both suplier and KW are aware of the site of the hole at the top of the suspension turrett
2. The camber uniball does not hold the strut at the desired camber setting wehn torqued to recommended setting. When set to dead zero and the doing 200 miles it has moved to 3.5deg neg camber that would have destroyed my new tyres in a matter of a few thousand miles
3. The top mount bearing did not work properly when fitted. I was getting a horrible binding noise from lock to lock. The lateral twisting force that should have been taken up my the bearing/top mount was actually being transferred to the helper spring/main spring/collar and the spring was binding then twanging free. It was actually embarressing to driving in and out of parking spaces at work. 1st time Emma got in the car she thought something had snapped

4. The amount of adjustment available on the rear is 16 clicks NOT 12. cant be that hard to count surely (not that this is a major issue)

To say im fed up with suspension is a bit of an understatement

Fingers crossed with have an alternative in place by end of the Month

That's really poor. How could they not pick up on this during R&D? Seems like a "yep they fit, stick them up for sale" type job.

Hope you get it sorted soon bud.

The only good thing i have had from the £1900 wallet raping so far was a nice chat with Marc Kemp about it. he seemed to be the only person who even understood what i was saying and actually took time to listen

From what i was told by KW they always make the kit like this and it is not there responsibility to advise how the camber is the be adjusted.....even though it says this is their own actaull instructions

NOTE the part that reads "Later fine adjustments can be done at the uniball supporting bearing"

I dont think so.............unless they want me to take a 70mm hole cutter to my inner wing

You would think a big company like KW would be on the Ball after the 12weeks waiting for a strut fix i had put me right of them:thumbdown:Hope you get sorted as it looked the bizz a bit lower.

i am having a right brain phuck at the moment

i am now tempted to leave it completely std sor Emmas daily runner and il get a 182 for daily and track (seen a very nice one come up for sale)

this whole episode has really negged me out

I know what you mean. It's horrible when something **** happens to your new favourite thing. Takes a while to get over it.

At least with a 182 you could mod the hell out of it with mods that are proven to work.

it has a full exhaust, filter, map, gaz coilies and is on 77k

i would spend no money on power i would just strip the hell out of it. 2 seats and a cage. job done

Its such a shame it has come to this with such a respected company, I think some compensation is due to cover the cost you have incurred for fitting and set up!

This is nasty Kenny. Gutted for you mate, especially after paying top dollar for it. The question is why did that happen? KW must be having a laugh, how could they sign off this product as it is? Major faults there...

That makes you wonder is they actually developed this kit on the car and how right/relevant the valving is...

Sorry to hear that mate, glad you get it sorted asap

such a shame but perhaps to quick to market and too quick to flog you something that obviously hasn't been tested correctly!!!!

reminds me when I got the 2 part discs from k-tec and all the holes were wrong!!! as I was probably one of the first to fit a pair - sorted the holes out as I was at work and let them know - they said I could have an extra 10% off my next order but I never did take them up on it :innocent:

That's sh!t mate, no other way of putting it really. :worried:

I hope they make you a goodwill gesture, wether that be finanical or otherwise. It's the least they can do.

I was expecting a call today as I left the suplier a note in the box saying that I would like my money back in my account within 48 hours of receipt of goods

They got them today and not even a call

They have till Wednesday. If nothing then I will start pursuing for expenses

I just want my money back. I'm not being unreasonable am I?

They were aware of the faults immediately after fitting...

So you've not even had a refund for the coilovers themselves let alone any reimbursment for fitting etc.???
