Poorly clio took it today for a remap to find out the cam timing is all over the Place so obviously matt couldn't map it i could have cryed anyone else had this i have some warrenty left but id like to bet renault wont honour it
Yep see my post in RST section after evans halshaw had done the timing belt and nwp had checked it and said it was fine....
Think a number of people have had their engines "miss-timed". Not easy to time allegedly.
Did you try to claim anything back mike on the work or did you take it on the chin
Yep, and I don't take no lying down, but I got no support from Evans halshaw and Renault uk were as useful as a chocolate fireguard, and that was even after I had had issues with renault retail Group thief used aces arm being completely useless with an rs model 4 months earlier. Keep pushing, arguing and quote my name on several cases if you wish, but unless they have admitted it as a potential manufacture stage defect, condom machine in monastery comes to mind
So do we not know if they are messed up unless we have them mapped??
That's why you take it to a proper specialist

These guys have been doing RS Clios for years and are at home with the mk3
note I didn't include NWP, they don't know what they are doing, a quick search on CS will confirm this
But why would the cam timing have been messed with/cambelt changed on a car that is less then 3 years old. If its hasnt then its been like it since new?
warranty work maybe?
is it "faulty" due to the run-up on the rollers?
or has it been "checked"?
