Thinking Of Selling The 200...

... as i just cant get used to the CUP suspension and the lack of go before 5k!

Ive had a 172 and a 182, but this 200 just feels so slow. Im well aware of the need to rev it etc, but im never gonna take it on a track, and i cant just rev it everywhere otherwise ill get a reputation as a 'Barry Boy!'

The suspension is another thing, its not neccasary for it to be that hard.

So, ive got a settlement figure, and im getting offered about £400 more than that part ex.

Looking at getting a Citroen DS3 THP 150, a remap will take it to 200hp, and the DSport Plus includes leather, climate etc so itll be a nicer place to be than my CUP

Final thing, is it worth trying to sell it private or not? Are people buying private? Anyone recommend a value..

You're on the PCP deal arent you mate?

How does getting rid affect all that? Would getting rid have an effect on your credit history?

Everyone seems to be selling up at the moment, especially 200 owners, and as you can imagine, that isn't doing the market any favours - massive flood of 200's for sale can only mean lower prices!!!

Shame tbh, but hey ho!

Nah doesnt affect it. Just pay it off and thats the end of it. They'll still make a few quid so everyones happy

Just looking at the change as im currently in positive equity, so i dont owe more than its worth

Like I have said in other threads the prices of 200 will plummet like the 197s did because the Market will become swamped with them.sell now while you can mate

i wouldnt bother with the DS3, its the peugeot engine from the RCZ, and its pants. Even the 200bhp version sucks. Also the clutch appears to be made of chocolate. Cant take any abuse.

Even on paper the clio will leave it for dead.

If you don't like it, and can get out of it, get rid now and buy a banger until something that you really want comes along.

Cup suspension was awesome. Never regretted optioning it on our Clio, and could live with it every day no problem.

Thing is I dont understand why people complain about the cup suspension, it's was never going to be that forgiving? Lol. Get rid now mate if you want as others have said!!

The cup susp was fine. I avoided the worst potholes out of mechanical sympathy, and had 8k comfortable miles.

I had the standard seats, the Recaros completely change the ride of the car as they have little padding. I test drove both, and couldn't have lived with the Recaros.

I sold mine to poor fuel economy, and the terrifyingly sharp rise in petrol prices recently.

I use my car pretty much every day of every week.

I can see why the cup suspension wouldn't be everyones cup of tea but then again because I have/will venture onto to track now and then and enjoy a spirited drive at the weekend I wouldnt be without it. Even the cup suspension with stickier rubber starts to feel like it could do with being stiffer on the track though.

But then not everyone uses their car the same as me but that's why it's good to have a choice.

Its not the engine im going for mainly, its the nice place to be

In fact im not bothered about speed too much, i think in my 6 months with the 200 im had the urge to speed away from the lights about twice

What was your reason going for the cup suspension???

Its a CUP, i was stuck with it. What was my reason for getting a CUP? It was cheap - my bad!

Probably because no-one who has it will admit that it is too harsh, and instead rave about it to cover up their mistake.

Ive admitted it from day 1! The suspension is terrible!!!

I like the Cup Suspension... Not too harsh imo. Although saying that, my car before my 172 was a slammed 1.2 Clio, so im used to alot stiffer rides lol.

Its quite gutting that you arent getting on with the 200 though. I love mine. The only downfall of it is the ridiculous fuel consumption, but then again, I didnt buy it for its fuel economy.

What you paying on your PCP and did you put a deposit down?

I'm glad I got rid when I did as fuel cost for business miles was costing me.
