S22's RB 200 Progress Diary *loads of new pics 10/07/12*

So now you have had some time with the new setup how does it feel? Is it easy to live with? worth it? do you get more 'feel' through the steering wheel as opposed to the original setup?

For me, its easy to live with. Its certaainly not the stiffest setup ive had on a road car.
Its much less bouncy that they stock setup, less body roll and generally more planted.
I feel it needs a wider wheel base though, so either lower offset wheels or spacers would be an added advantage to the setup.

As for feel through the steering wheel, id say its still pretty pants. But thats one major problem on the 197 and 200. The electric power steering is far too light.

I did discuss with Mark Fish about the possibility of tapping into the electrics and turning it down, which he has been looking into, but it causes a whole lot of issues when it comes to liability insurance etc should something go wrong on the road leading to an accident. I am going to discuss with iwht my local renault soon as they are an RS specialist. Hopefully they might be able to shed some light on whether it is doable or not.
