So finally I managed to pick up a Clio 200 after a year of looking.
Picked it up 04/11/16 with 51k on the clock.
It's in reasonable condition the body work is pretty good. Can't see any car park dents as such.
Sorry there is hardly any pictures at the moment.
I havnt had chance to clean it properly which it seriously needs doing this weekend.
The first picture I took:
And one from the advert I bought it from:
The drive was interesting to say the least, Iv come from a modified 2.0 hdi 206 with a tonne of torque.
To be fair I was surprised how well it pulled low down.
After I got a bit more confident I had my foot down a bit more, so yeah so far so good up to 5k.
Eventually I took it to the limit and I am
Very shocked how well they go.
So far Iv managed to get 32mpg on a long casual drive and probably 25ish around town.
I'm not driving it hard all the time due to fuel bill that comes with it. (Peugeot was giving me 46>>52mpg)
As I keep mentioning it here is a picture of the 206, I still have it in the garage tucked away.
Anyway back to the Clio.
There is a few mods on the Clio.
Carbon spats on the skirt. (Iv already caught one on the drive F*ck)
Cooksport springs
Some kind of back box (not to loud, occasionally pops and burble's)
Iv also bough a upper torque mount and fitted that my self.
For peace of mind I am going to service the car and ordered my parts from @renaultparts direct.
Cheers Paul for sorting me out.
The last owner didn't no about the belts being done so again I am going to have that done. There is no paper work as such for this car apart from MOT and service stamps.
I'm about 2 hours from RS tuning and have heard good things in the past and off this forum so I will go there to have the work done. (Also my girlfriends dad lives in Bolton so we will take that excuse to visit him too)
Now for the annoying bits.
Every car has them.
Put the car on the ramp last night to have a look underneath.
It still has pre cat and cat but they are not lying correctly, we are thinking who ever welded the flexi's up didn't get it straight. The welding is poor but it's doing the job.
The frame in front of the main subframe is rotten (heard this is common?)
The F1 blade is not sitting correctly (possibly needs some clips)
The horizontal window seal clip is out.
Pictures soon i hope.
