Remap - TDF vs AMD

Which one should I go for and why? AMD is much easier for me to get to and they're quoting £300 inc. VAT, not sure how much TDF is

Don't have any experience with Amd so can't comment but aren't that a VAG specialist? Thought they used superchips maps which are a generic map?

Matt@TDF is very highly rated and the set-up is second to none and had many happy customers on here

Mines custom mapped by AmD and I rate them highly, extremely professional and informative. Car was transformed and I got good results off the dyno. You won't go wrong with them.

TDF is highly rated though, although no personal experience.

Ben and Kev, I'm most interested in smoothing out the power curve at lower revs and also reducing the kangarooing on a cold engine. Did you both find these were improved after your remaps?

Hmm your probaly best off at TDF then as I think as far as Renault sports go they'll be a little more experienced. I have no power down low but I got more aggressive cams too. Although they smoothed the flatspot out perfectly at AmD.

Amd blow a friends mkiv and refussed to repair it.
Went on for years. Ended up going to court.

tdf mate, matt did the remap on mine, i took it up there with an indution kit and he found my car had a few problems he sorted those out and said if i put the standard air box back on with a performance panel filter i would have more power so i did that and took it back up there and he re-dyno'd it agian for nothing, top bloke and def knows his stuff, only delt with amd a couple of times but never had my car done by them so cant comment

Thanks, hows the power delivery on yours now? Is it nice and smooth at low revs? Hows the kangarooing on cold start?

yea its smooth mate get lairy after 4000rpm, still kangoos from cold but thats it i dont think u can completly get rid of that,

Its a shame you never had a completely standard car to compare against, do you have any other mods?

ive got a full milltek exhaust, its now has a decat, its got an itg panel filter and a remap thats about it for the engine other that slicone hoses the rest of the mods are all cosmetic bits it was a standard car when i brought it in october last year
