Hi I'm Paul and I have a Renault problem! I've recently bought a pearl white Clio 200 which is my 10th Renault and currently No4 on our overcrowded driveway. I've owned my balck gold 182 for 6 years now and had the urge for a mk3 RS for a couple of years but just could'nt bring myself to part with the 182. Last year it broke, grinding its gears and spitting them out with the gearbox oil. After 9 months of pulling it apart and putting it back together the relationship has soured so I've bought a 200 that has been stood for 3 years or so.
My pearl is a 2012 car with cup suspension and spoiler having had 4 previous owners and covered 67k. It's MOT expired on the 15th of March 2019! This could be the worst car buy I've ever done. I'm still not sure which Clio will be sold later this year but unfortunately I cant keep both (the wife tells me) and I do need a reliable daily that will hopefully last me a good few years. My heart says the 182 but my head says repairs will only get harder and more expensive as parts become harder to find in the coming years. And I've always liked the mk3 RS shape, and pearl white is lush.
There it is, still with 3 years of muck and mould on but still draws my eye when I get home from work. And what needs doing to it? Let's see...
