Optimus Primer....

There's south east transmission in Folkestone, who I phoned today but didn't really know much about swapping/checking the diff over :/

Finally got the box out of the car and opened the box to see what horror awaited me and my wallet!

So here is the cause of my loss of gears, a snapped selector! God knows how this has happend, but it's currently off at a transmission specialist and having a complete overhaul. No expense spared as usual with this car, new syncros, seals and bushes, obviously new selectors!
The quaife diff is also being removed, checked and serviced, as I don't want any dramas once it's back together.

Glad it's not as bad as first thought and not in need of a complete new box, with a refresh your going to have many miles of smiles now and worry free that it's done properly.

Love this car. It's a compete awesomeness package

Sorry to hear about the box, atleast its not 'too' bad, as in not needing a new one.

Hopefully you will have it up and running again soon

Luckily it's not too bad at all. Should be all back in and on the road by Monday....then a shakedown, before I leave for my mums ( 310 miles) away!

Its only been off the road a couple of weeks, but I hate not being able to go for a drive in it because no matter how bad a day at work, this car never fails to put a smile on my face!

What Hp did you say this was? 260? I can't see where you said the figures

275.9bhp and 317.6lbf.ft

I didn't really think to go that route to be honest Angel, as the meg box should be good for 400bhp plus from all accounts and I'm never going to be running that figure.

Car had its MOT today, failed on the near side tie rod! Not too much of problem, got it on order from Renault and should arrive on Tuesday all being well!

Also got four new tyres to go on tomorrow, thought Id take the plunge on all the good press that the Nankang brand is getting! So I shall report back on how the NS-2R's feel on the car shortly.

Thought it was about time to give a report on the tyres, as I've had them on a couple of months now!
What an amazing tyre for the money! Offer stupid amounts of grip in the dry and when up to tempreture, lots of inital turn in bite and never loose track mid corner - even with the extra power and the diff for more corner grunt!

In the wet/damp conditions, you do have to be careful as they tend to give you understeer if you push on a little too hard, followed by an amount of oversteer once you find traction. Overall they are an amazing tyre!

Will shortly have some carbon bling added to the car

So as promised a few more pictures of recent goings on.
Firstly a few of us went for a local Sunday blast.

And then some pictures after adding some carbon bling and a good clean
