Finally got to have a passenger ride in this yesterday..........

What an awesome little machine she is, cant wait to see her in full flow mate once you have the niggly little annoyances and the mapping fully sorted.

I think the charger route is where I want to go next year. I think I'd prefer that over a meg engine.

It was misfiring up high, but I think I have dodgy coil so nothing big. Also I was getting overheating issues but I don't think my rad fan works. Got home and thought, 'I never heard it once' lol! But it was ok cooled down quick. And just need more work on the map, couple of flat areas but that's just more development and also think I need a manifold Y pipe to help it breath better, should make a big difference. All fun and games as it's not done before so just a bit of trial and error. But otherwise it went like stink and have some big power cars some serious grief lol! Crowning moments against a 500bhp RS, mk1 RS and an evo lol!
 
Few updates today! So I had the same issue as Litchy with temps getting to cold or hot, so got a new thermostat fitted. All is well and in a consistent range now and the fan works!

10row oil cooler+thermostat plate fitted today thanks to angel for supplying it and mark black for fitting. Done a great job and some handy advice on issues/things I never knew about! So massive thanks them!

Also....I am part of the nankang crew lol!! Got 2 new NS2r's in medium compound! Only had them on 2 days and in current rubbish weather I'm VERY impressed! Defo a contender for me next year on track.

Had a new ball joint hub fitted a month ago and the difference is unreal! Like a new car now!
 
I'll be joining the Nankang crew very soon too, glad to hear they seem well suited to the Clio's.

Did you go for a thermostatic plate on the oil cooler?
 
oil cooler? This is something I need, alongside an oil temp gauge as well. I'd have to speak to Angel.

Any pics mate? Was it difficult to fit?

Yeah it's got the thermostat plate like angel said, it looks sexy! Easy to fit....no idea lol!! Will be easier on a non boosted car tho.

I should also add I'm getting the Ktec manifold Y pipe on Tuesday so this should remove a restriction and free it up and give me some more POWER!! lol!!
 
It enables the car to reach optimum oil temp without the cooler working. Otherwise without it, it will get to cool and cause more damage. This way the car works as normal then when it's needed i.e hot day or track day the thermostat lets the oil to the cooler to keep the oil temperature down. :smile:
 
I do like that but it'd have to be black or silver on mine hahaha!!!
