Luke_197 Progress thread

ok..easy for u..couldnt do without a number plate in manchester...especially where i live..there's police cars everywhere!!

Took a trip to "two techs Renualt specialists" on Saturday morning. Highly recommend them, they had my brake lines and gearbox oil changed in no time as they worked quickly and efficiently. Terry and his assistant knew their stuff, asked them a lot of Renualt related questions which they was happy to answer.

I haven't noticed any noticeable difference in the notchy gear change which is a shame. But I've done all I can to improve it, so looks like I'm gonna have to live with it. Braided hose also haven't made much difference. I need to upgrade my discs and pads I think.

I've been constantly checking my lines to ensure they are not rubbing on the inside of the wheel.

I've done good 100miles so far and no change :worried:. I think the downshift is slightly smoother but I do hope your right. I don't feel like I've wasted any money though as I needed to change the fluid in order to have hoses fitted and the gearbox oil change is good preventive maintenance.

nice nice..done my scuttle are not long ago..keep it clean..heard some horror stories when the drain hole got blocked..top work..hows the gear change??got any better??

I've heard some too mate which is why I done it. My top mounts where filled with water and the threads where rusted which is not good :worried: managed to dry them out though and covered them in WD40.

Gear change is slowly improving, especially on cold starts. [emoji2]

what did u clean it with??not done my rear lights..might get on it today..any difficulties when removing them??

Used plenty of detailer and a soft wheel cleaner brush to loosen the dirt. Then wiped down with a microfibre. Very easy mate, just 3 torx screws and pull the light and it'll pop out.

Went for a walk with the missus, but first had to take a snap of the Clio! [emoji7]

Awesome stuff, V07 by chem guys, I this use after every wash.

Beading and sheeting rather nicely

Haha, the clio gets spoilt, the missus hates it. [emoji23] bottle of V7 is around £15 I get mine from my local detailing shop. [emoji2] give it a go it's quick to apply. I use dodo juice orange crush hard wax every 3 months when I give it a proper detail. Here's a link. The pic looks slightly different on the link.

Dewipered for a more clean look. Would like a shiny grommet ideally. Also gave the Clio a wash.

Had a screw puncture my front passenger side tyre over the weekend. This along with low levels of tread gave me a great excuse to upgrade the front tyres to ad08r's to match the rear. I kept the driver side tyre(conti 5) as a spare in my shed in case of disaster one day.

Ordered from demon tweeks

They look great, haven't had a chance to test them yet unfortunately.
