Linkage didn't get sorted today as I left the car and the techy was off ill

Yeah certainly is. I've just done my van this weekend now it's not 50k, Clio was replaced after the last track day and only one a 100 miles since, but ordered a spare 2L tonight which can see in the workshop until it's required.

Little update...
The battery was partially removed and the gear linkage cables/bushings have been greased.
Didn't immediately notice much difference in selecting 1st from cold.
Our techy says if I wanted, the next thing would be to remove the gear lever/surround and see that everything is lubed up nicely under there, but I'm not sure if this would make any difference??
After a couple of weeks, it is better, not 100% silky smooth to get in first, but its only from cold starting for the first mile or two.
Once warmed up with the new NFP oil in the box it is spectacularly slick.
The new gearbox oil seems to have quietened the whiney nature of the gearbox on engine braking too.

Still just a bit stiff into first when cold, which is annoying, its about the only criticism I have of the RS200 atm
Though i understand this isn't a gearbox oil issue

Well I got up Monday morning and thought....mmmm...everything seems pretty dark...
...passenger dipped headlight had blown
Knew what a job it would be in the dark to change one, so stuck the fog lights on and went to work.
Funnily enough coming home the roads were blocked, so I had to track my way cross country down some tiny lanes, and the fog came down like pea soup, so at least they weren't on without reason lol
Tuesday came and went and I ran out of time, but having checked the bulb type, realised I had a pair of new bulbs in the garage that I'd bought for the Porsche.
This morning came and I dropped my car off with one of the techies and asked him if he had time to swap both front dipped bulbs.
15 mins later they were done
Philips White Vision in a H7 fitment look really good.
Nice and white, only problem now is the sidelights look even worse.
Need to choose some decent 501's now chaps. Any suggestions?
I've used the Philips Blue Vision things, just a filament bulb in a blue glass and they've not been great, bit better though.

I haven't updated my thread on here for ages.....
I still haven't fitted any upgrade sidelights, but the H7's for my Porsche should get delivered tomorrow and they come with some free Philips White Vision 501 bulbs, so I'll stick them in the Clio (as I already have the white vision 501s in the Porsche)
Erm... car is running nicely, loving it actually.
The mrs loves it, its not been cleaned for a couple of weeks, as the weather has been crap, and I put my back out on the ice last week.
I've taken it steady, and I feel a lot better, so this weekend I'll get the Clio cleaned.
Some pics for you guys.
I put some new Clio 197/200 yellow edged genuine mats in that I bought from Bristol Street Renault at Nottingham.
John in parts got hold of them next day.
They look great against the LY paint and the yellow dot Recaros
And if you're looking at my steering wheel thinking..."mmmm, nice" here's a couple of closer pics
Before putting the mats in the car I protected them with Autoglym Lifeshine interior protectant.
Will see what I think to that, next time I'll be using 303 Fabric Guard which I've got on the shelf ready.
Will try and get some pics up after the car its wash on Sunday now I've got my Flickr account up and running

If the exterior is anything like the interior it wont need cleaning! Very clean looking
As Ben said where did you have the steering wheel retrimmed? Yellow band with the yellow stitching looks the nuts
I might get round to having mine done some day, same as yours but red band & snitching

I know they subbed it out to a specialist but I can't remember their name.
When I first contacted them about the car they said you can't come and test drive it, its got no steering wheel on!
They removed it and sent it off to be re-trimmed.
When it came back and was on the car I was really impressed.
(I had one done under Renault warranty years back when I had my 172 wheel that 'melted')
