I don't even know if this is the right place

 quite shocking reading if thats correct! I am just building an Exocet for use on track and road, we have to IVA the car before becoming road legal as a sort of type approval, so if this comes true then will that mean all modified cars need to undergo an IVA too?? Will be quite pointless as most modifications will still meet the IVA standards and as such are just a variation on the same item. Like with lights etc there is a standard out there to which cars are built but the possibilities that are there when meeting these standards is easy for the IVA, so if this comes in and means cars need an IVA when modified then it will be a pointless task as there will just be a queue of people at the test centre with cars that can't possibly fail..... and a big pot of money that the government will be getting for these over priced MOT's!

It's been going on in germany for years. All it means is the parts you put on have to be certified and tested suitable before production and sale. The car won't have to be tested for each mod you put on. (Unless you've fabricated your own parts.)

It's all scaremongering.:tomato:

Have you googled any of those documents? one of them is for airlines.
