I have still got the drivers lateral sensor and passenger lateral sensor coded in to my car. If I configure CLIP to say that the car is "without" those sensors I get an open circuit error.

Weird. My passenger one is coded out I think because the only fault I’m getting is driver side lateral sensor. I don’t have clip so can’t mess about myself

Alex at AW Motorworks helped us work out how to fit PMS top mounts to Gaz Gold front suspension.
PMS sells the top mounts with spacers sized 20mm or 22mm and on their web site they give options for different suspension manufacturers, but not Gaz. We have now discovered that Gaz use different sized components to most other manufacturers.
I have taken some photos of how the washers and spacers are arranged at the top in case anyone else puts PMS top mounts on Gaz Golds.
We have used the 22mm spacer. The spacer is not a tight fit around the top shaft of the strut but as it is sandwiched between two washers I have been assured that it is fine.
PMS do make some very well engineered products.
The plan is to install the top mounts/suspension this weekend and get another alignment done next weekend.
We are trying to get a bit more caster in our geo setup. A standard Clio 197/200 comes with a fixed 5.8 degrees of caster. Our Gaz set up has given us up to 6.5 degrees of castor but where the Gaz setup is currently set up with 4 degrees of camber it is only giving us 6 degrees of caster. If we follow the PMS instructions and shave off the lip of the strut tower we should be able to get more caster and give us the flexibility to get more caster.

I have now sorted out the airbag light.
All of the airbags have been removed from the car including the curtain airbags and passenger side dashboard airbag. Those changes caused the airbag light to come back on on the dashboard.
We had also removed the airbag switch which sits on the drivers side of the car on the very side of the dashboard which you will only see if you have the door open. As I could not find a way to code out the switch I put it back in today.
I will cable tie the switch out of the way.
Now the airbag light has gone.

The PMS top mounts are now on the car.
Ethan performed what looked like open heart surgery on the car to remove part of the lip on the strut towers so that the PMS top mounts had a full range of movement. The bare metal was sprayed with some primer to cover it up.
The top mount bolts are rather long but seem to be longer ot accommodate a PMS strut brace.
Unfortunately the OEM top mount covers don't fit on the PMS top mounts. Ethan night try to create something to be 3D printed that gives some basic protection from the wet or other weather elements.
The car is booked in this Saturday for another alignment at AW Motorworks. It will be the fourth alignment this year.

We drove the car over to AW Motorworks today to get the Clio aligned so it would drive straight at Snetterton on 28th September after the front suspension had been taken off of the car and the PMS top mounts installed.
I did drive the car after it had been stripped and the noise levels were okay. Today we drove, for more than a few minutes, after the PMS engine and gearbox mounts had been installed. It was very noisy. My watch claimed that the noise went up to 99 dbs when the car was accelerating hard. I need to invest in some earplugs otherwise I am going to go deaf driving the Clio about.
The car was set at just under 4 degrees of negative camber with 6 degrees and 40 minutes of caster at the front. The car will get more camber when cornering. The rear geo was not adjusted.
The PMS top mounts would probably give us more negative caster if we wanted it, but, we would have to remove some more material round the strut towers to give us that extra caster.
We have added a GoPro mount to the inside of the boot where the wiper motor spindle used to sit. I ordered a metal GoPro mount and Ethan printed a 3D bracket to fit in to the hole and to clamp down when the GoPro was screwed in to place.
The set up needs a small extender to allow the camera to be rotated in to the right position to face outwards.
The camera position does not really obscure the view from the rear view mirror. At the moment the rear view mirror is vibrating a lot so everything in the mirror is a bit of a blur.

I have the PMS mounts set at maximum castor +7.3 degrees with camber -2.4 maximum camber without cutting the strut towers. The extra castor makes turn in feel mega

I would have thought 6.4 castor is already on the higher side as the basic Cup setup says 6.2. I'm only running 6.1 and had issues with rubbing at the front of the archliners when turning in the wheels respectively. That was mainly caused by the extra track width and being very low with a certain setup but I'd assume more castor would enforce this problem as the wheels get moved a bit further to the front?

We have already been rubbing quite a bit on the front arch liners and bumper so there is not much left, you’re probably right it will need to self clearance itself a bit more!

Our front wheels are already eating our arch liners and are gently rubbing away part of the front bumper - this started happening when when switched to softer front springs. The extra caster may cause some more rubbing but as the car is more of a track car than anything else I am not too worried about it.

If I had a UK version of your Clio, which was labelled as a "Raider" in the UK, I would not have done many of the modifications that have been done to my car.
You get to a point with a track car when you become quite destructive to make it perform better on a track. Once you get to that point there is no going back!
