This is awesome info Simo.. I love how the settings are based on a driver weighing 70kg and and fuel of 40kg. There are many people that carry that fuel allowance on their arse.

Love the Federal track tyres.

I'm sure they don't set the car up with 40kgs of fuel in though....

We set ours up with 70kgs of sand ballast in the seat, and 15kgs of fuel, perfect for qualifying....

Where is the cup cars fuel cell? Is it pretty close to the cars centre of gravity?

Yes, they tell so..
Is true that we don't have slick tyres..

Clio cup maybe use that spring value to do turn better the rear axle.. With semislick like our maybe is no necessary..
Remember that original suspensions have rear stiffer but the spring is not coaxials..

I'll keep you informed!!

These are the cliocup BASIC settings.. Then every team change a lot toe and camber at rear axle..

What if we used most of these settings on our standard clio?

Well, you wouldn't be able to get most of those settings on a standard clio. You'd need spacers for the track width, adjustable topmounts for front camber, shims for rear camber and toe.

I guess adding adjustable top mounts will make the biggest difference towards the cup settings

Good choice on the tyres. I now run these over 888's.

They take a little longer to get up to temp, but dont go off as quick, have stiffer sidewalls and wear at a slower rate, compared to the Toyo's.

Plus, if anything, they provide more grip!

Really? 8)

Trust me, the cups run nothing like the geo on that sheet. I know it says the basic and they change it so i just thought id let you know.

And your car would handle like a pig on the road with a simular set up.

Because of the toe out it will be a bit skitish over bumps and road cambers under normal driving. Also it's quite an aggressive camber set-up. You have to push the car a bit otherwise it will just be putting more weight on the outer edges of the tyres.

The increased castor will make the steering harder and give you dynamic camber, so when you turn the wheels you'll get even more negative camber.

More importantly, it will take a few modifications just to get those settings!

Stiffer side walls than 888s?

How do they compare price wise?
