CL10 CYA project

Good day today
Picked up the new seats (new to me) from Renomotive
He also sorted me out with
Bonnet stand
Horn
SW rear strut brace
And a rear beam
I have the PMS strength kit - I also had this on my last RB
So plan to recon this one and swap out

Lobe the seat and the red stripe should fit in well with the cage.
Just need some seat mounts now if anyone has any
And some Sabelt harnesses

Also, I bought a new sun strip must be spending too much money

New metal sheeting has arrived to make a new hear shield up

I start my days off this morning
Hoping to get a pile of work done while kids are school next week
Heat shield
Washer bottle replacement
Fuel pump wiring and plate
Engine rust treatment and painted
All engine bolt on parts painted and fitted
Interior completely finished
Stack wideband fitted
Sheared clutch bolt removal
New wiring loom made up and fitted
Batter relocation kit finished
Run engine bay fuel lines and FPR
Polish up fuel rail and TB

Ok. What to wrap the loom in??
What have people used in the past??

I am currently using some fabric tape but the original stuff feels more waterproof and I feel it looks better
Any advice appreciated

That's the original stuff

The dreaded electrics - slowly starting to tape it all up - let's hope it doesn't give me any other issues
And kinda hoping everything will go in around the new routing of the wire

Going to stick the fuse box on the back of the air box

Starting to run out of space on the bulkhead and still need to get a wideband plug through

So loom day
What a long day that was
Garage was down to 0.6degc today with the sun on the garage
So took over the kids play room
1000079185.jpg
Was not as straightforward as copying over looms, then we made a mistake of not marking a couple of same coloured wires before stripping the plugs down, so then had to hunt down wire ends etc
Anyway got done in the end

The end result

However - don't want to celebrate to early

But while in the old loom a wire fell apart in our hands it was split and full of green copper rust
Traced it back to the ECU plug - the wire feeds "ignition locking relay"

1000079189.jpg
Once we had finished the loom. We test fitted it in the car

Using both the replacement UPC & old UPC - if you remember the jumper wire the auto spark put in place to get around a relay not switching.

New upc - imob light on
Old upc with jumper wire - imob light on

Reader showing fault with ECU - basically no engine etc

Never had the ECU fault before, it only showed UPC multiplex fault (could not see an ECU)

So I reckon I have found the wiring issue - hopefully

Doesn't look good at the point
But once the engine is back in I can start re routing the wires and tidy it up
