Carbon dipping

I can't say I would be particularly fussed unless it was ridiculously cheap, but I'm a bit like you. I'd prefer the real thing.

Wouldn't said items you wanted to dip have to be in pristine condition as well?

Had loads done in my engine bay.
Parts don't have to be pristine at all tbh.
The place I used cleaned mine up.

Don't have to be pristine as they need to be prepped first but obviously don't send bits with big chunks chipped off etc. Small scuffs and scratches should be no prob though.

As this is an opinion thread i'll join in, i kept out of the last thread about it

Unless it's got better since i saw a load on some focus ST's i think it looks pants, the wrap looks 10 times better than the dipping stuff and i'm not 100% on the wrap.

I think if you have genuine carbon on the car the dipped stuff will look well out of place.

Carry on. :poke:

Got to agree that some of the stuff dipped doesn't look right, the 3M wrap is good quality and not until you get up close and personal that it comes undone. Having said that, there is nothing better than the real thing though!
