I've just ordered 2 new Conti 5s. £101 each which is the cheapest I could find. Got a puncture on the drivers rear so thought I'd just take the plunge and replace both since they are down to 3mm.

Tyretraders. That's just for supplying and delivery. A local guy fits them for a tenner.

Never had those problems with my v12s, have you checked the tyre pressures? Often the fitters over-pressurise the tyres, making them bad to drive with.

So true. I had my 888s fitted a few weeks ago and said 28psi all round please.

Check a few days later they were at 40 :zomg:

I drove to Wales on some fresh V12s and thought 'oh dear, what have I done.'? Checked the pressures, they were on 40 psi and the one conti on the back was running at 18 psi. Later found out there was a nail in it! Car felt so much better after, it was actually relieving!
