I agree that a Fiesta ST would be cheaper to run, however my Focus costs the same to insure as the Clio, costs the same to tax and the mpg difference is minimal, tyres are what, 20 quid a tyre extra?

2 months ago I got rid of the 197 for a facelift ST. tbh it's hard to compare the 2 cars as they are completely different and I love them both in they're own way. The Clio was nibble and excellent on B roads but drove me nuts on the m'way. The ST is a far better cruiser, comfier and the torque...

Had a ITG on my 197 from K-tec, cost about £40 I think. Made no difference what-so-ever other than saving me from having to shell out on a new air filter on every service.

Ah, gotcha, so the normal system is alittle like the torque limiter on some turbo cars have in first and second. So let me see if I got this then, effectively full throttle from stand still only equals about 75%, where as with a sprint booster you get all of it from a standing start.

Maybe I'm just being dumb but I still don't get it, surely if you wanna go faster, quicker you just mash your foot into the carpet with more gusto?
