06 nimbus 197 daily track toy

Shame the meg never came to fruition. If it’s the one I’m assuming was a decent motor at the price. Clio still looks on point though mate. And a whole lot cheaper to run!

Gave the car a quick wash last week. Gave the mondy the Renault by leaving it jacked up with no wheels on due to a snapped spring but when the daily is broke take the race car... 20210420_190412.jpg

Also got the cup wheels back on with the AD08s what a difference..

Stay tuned... I took the Clio out on Sunday and as I got home I got the engine over heating light and smoke coming from the cambelt cover so tonight well be seeing whats gone wrong I've primed a company for full belt and pump change so we'll see im suspecting the water pump has seized..

Right finally got the car back today sadly I havent been my normal self and taken pictures of everything like I should be (for the amusement of the crowd) so ive been give a cambelt bill from EJM preparation in alcester for the wrok which originally included cam belt aux belt new pullys tensioners dephaser pully and water pump and the 6hrs labour.. this was just under £800 but I trust them and thats important especially with belts on these things however the car was there for 2 days as the 1st day it got all timed up to make sure it didnt jump then the rest of the day they spent picking bits of melted belt and pully from all over the place. This took am addition 3-4 hrs.. when I was given the quote I thought it was a bit big but was ok then I seen all the additional work and am halpy with that but it feels so good to be back 20210522_184900.jpg

Ive decided to use my head after my dad (owned his own bodyshop for years and now works as an insurance estimator) he said he would be able to repair the bumper so.. gave it him yesterday and today hed taken it in and..
