So got the rad welded back together

I have received my paited bumper and wing back

All ready to have a day on it on monday ill be re fitting everything and fitting the speedlines..

Also got some new side mounts on order for the drivers side
 
Then put it all on and it looked mega

Rain stopped play a few times.

So day 2 of being off I finished it bumper built and re fitted 20220215_113218.jpg

And decided to get my new wheels on

And gave it a good old clean. And it looked brilliant then I realised.. 20220216_074529.jpg

After thunking they stick out lodes and it looked tight i realised the drivers side was 10mm lower and in the 30 mins i had looking couldnt find anything wrong which done my nut it..

Since then i decided not to brake it and continue sorting stuff out. And over the next few days i removed my front spacers to get the clearance and took it to work

Drivers side definitely lower than passengers. So removed the sock and found this.. 20220220_152342.jpg

What I think is a bent shock but need some more investigation

If you think the hub has opened up you can shim the shock with thin steel to keep it at the right height we would have done this before with shocks in the yokes of superbikes it will clamp just the same as it will be at the correct angles of the shock to the hub.

I do believe it is the hub I have got one on order now so will check and update.

So the car has been at my dads for a while as we have been selling the golf as the mrs has bought another french hot hatch. And ive decided to put the car back how it was after talking to some people.. 20220411_100138.jpg

Also another problem has arose when i was gettign the tracking done my car was there ticking over for ages all of a sudern over heating light came on thought thats strange nver had an issue before anyway long story short checked all the fused and relyas and found this.. 20220503_132351.jpg20220503_132403.jpg
Looks like its been on the Titanic so have a new one coming hopefully this will fix it..

Well things certainly have taken a turn after a call the other day..

New brakes are now on the way
Pair of updated godspeed disks (they tell me thay have changed and are now better)
Gone for PBS pro race pads this time try them out and need some new fluid which I have ready disks will he here Monday.
