Dumdums RS200 cup

think you may be in luck as the weather forecast looks promising for another 2 weeks at least..

I need a mate like that!
His Facebook pages are full of the cars he’s done, lads who know him down Mansfield trust him with there baby’s, I’ll nick some pics and post some, some proper car (and odd lorry) porn in there... mk2 escort wide arch, cosworth powered, 450bhp, custom tubs for 12” wide rear wheels with 265 wide semi slicks, to say it shifts is an understatement! Think 10 second quarters...

He also has a rover V8 powered Granada mk2 I think it is, loves his cars! Chevette is awesome fun and his daily, he also has an ex army truck he’s about to turn into a camper and tow vehicle for the escort when he goes to pod and ford shows

And they are just one guys cars... Dave has loads on his Facebook page!

So the Clio went to norfolk for my mates fortieth and with a few high speed overtakes managed 33/34 mpg and nearly got squished by a 4x4 that didn’t know what lane he wanted and decided to stray into mine, I just got toe down and got out of there, the car does stick to the road really rather well even at 32 cold all round

Going for poorboys on Thursday so gratuitous pics will be taken

Going to say that looks nice and shiny

does he open his services to others, FB Page or any more Info??

He’s literally just a mate who loves polishing them, doesn’t do general publics cars, only does en so he can put pics on his Facebook and say he’s polished a x,y and z, he spent two days on mine inc glass, tail pipe trims, clay, removing any swirls etc and made a rate nice job of it

He’s just a bit weird I reckon, I hate polishing cars!

Last five hes done! The Corsa is a 1 litre for a challenge round the Nürburgring, all 1 litre cars under a set amount of cash, no turbos I presume or you’d be in a charade gtti

The 307cc must be a friends and the other three it’s just obvious why he’s polished them

For anyone that’s ever used it, my mate polished stuff for fun and he showed me how to take it off... clean but of microfibre cloth not a lot of pressure, take most of it off, then more pressure to remove the rest with another clean bit, his take on it... press on too hard and it almost hardens the wax on the paint and makes it nigh on impossible to remove, taking it off in two stages lets it stick better to the paint, I’m not gonna argue... results speak for themselves

Bored at work so I abused the two poster and fitted two new rack ends, both had play and weren’t gonna get any better so the time came, normally I’d only do one at a time and the adjusted tracking to straight, but figured with both sides being out of its not straight now I will get it tracked on my mates hunter setup

Satin black badges to see if I like em... not sure yet... I think I might do them again and paint the background (the plastic that’s behind the chrome normally) red as a brave experiment... but I can see body coloured background being favourite to add some contrast!550BEDF4-1B26-459F-80F2-C45A0BD0C679.jpegAC9C1D01-AE7B-45A7-8957-69E61BCE7EBE.jpeg

Satin black centre caps (can you tell we use satin black at work?) must order some gloss black and plastic primer :sunglasses:

Well the more I drive the Clio the more I love it, it just wants to be driven in a way no other car has ever done, sitting on snake pass earlier having a play with a new Lithuanian lass I’ve met doing a steady 50... not slowing down for various corners as it just sticks... love it!!

Although I have also found out the yokos don’t like standing water too much... coming off the M1 I booted it onto the A38 and there was a steady stream about 3ft wide... got some nice understeer and then a touch of floaty oversteer as both ends crossed it
