Benno's UR197 & Meg 250

Great update mate. Seeing that and the photo from mine with the nose of the old car just lurking makes me a little sad to have given the clio up so soon. I'm glad the parts have gone to someone I know though who will put them to good use! Just needs the inside stripping Properly and painting.

Absolute track slag - cant wait to see it in the flesh!

That it is! Must get booked onto a day at Combe some time, show you why you shouldn’t have got rid of yours for the SECOND time!!!!!

Cheers man, I’ll be getting some use out of it all that’s for sure!

But like you said at Spa mate, it’s getting to the point where you’re needing a new challenge to keep you interested in all of it! That BMW will be a credit to you, as the Clio has been over the time you’ve owned it - saying that I’m not sure I’d want to be the next name on that logbook..:tonguewink:

Just got to find a daily suitable for towing and possibly a Birmingham commute then I may well be going down the road of a fully stripped track slag. Baby steps for now though!

Holy smokes Batman.

YOU are the update king !

I wasn’t quite sure where you were going with the car at one point (Not sure if you were :tearsofjoy:). But you’ve got your direction now.

Very nice buddy. You are set and committed to go round in circles at speed and looking good doing it.

Kudos....

Cheers Shuv! If I’m doing it I may as well go all out surely?!

To be honest things will slow down a lot short term now...need to find myself a daily/tow car and potentially have got a big commute starting soon, crept up on me to be honest. The exact step up in my career future that I’ve been looking for, so if I get it I’ll swallow the fuel bill for a month or so and get a diesel Passat or Volvo V50 possibly. Both big towing weights so should pull the Clio with ease!

You’re right though, was in limbo for a while and to be honest still am a little. Would like to find a lock up somewhere local to keep it dry and under cover this winter, especially after seeing the state of the standard shocks when they came off!

Finally managed a post-Snetterton clean after two weeks off the road with another screwed starter.

Went over to a mate of mine who kindly whipped it off and replaced it for me. Couldn’t get the heat shield on with the manifold in place so gold wrapped it for the time being and will see what happens. If it goes again it’ll have to be subframe and manifold off, in which case I may kill two birds with one stone and buy a Ktec manifold to replace my close-to-failure flexis....

For those of you interested (@Big Ben @Markmec etc), this is how the car is sitting on the Gaz Golds now. 3 degrees of camber on the front, handling is absolutely beautiful. Would recommend them to anyone. Kudos to Auto Finesse for working its magic again!!

K Tec manifold all the way sir - loud as F___K mind you! - she looks fine.

Cheers Kev!!! Been floating in the back of my mind for a while, even more so as they've revised it again and so say this one is even better!!

good to see her coming along Ben..do you drive her daily?

Indeed I do Pav! Not much mileage to be fair, but nonetheless it's my only mode of transport still. We'll see in the next few months what happens, your guess is as good as mine right now!

About time
