Dunner stress..... I was being cheeky anyway. Looking forward to getting what you do with a 250.

Bit of saving to do for sure. I rushed into buying a 197 being young and naive, won’t be making the same mistake this time round! Cost me a fair bit of money but all part of the joys of French hot hatches...

we know you cant stay away from going fast for too long so as we say,see you soon on a track

Well it’s official. Clio has been signed away to its new owner! Sad weekend for sure but all good things as they say....



Had to grab one last photo before I said goodbye to it but all is not lost, the new owner has bought as a track toy, so keep an eye out for it....

Now to ponder on what to buy next...! I’ll be back in a 197 for sure at some point but I need something a tad more comfortable for a little while for the commutes from Wilts to Birmingham and back.

Can totally symapthise with you on this Ben, not easy to see them go is it! It's a lovely example and I'm sure the new owner will be well chuffed with it!

Keep us updated how you get on with the search for the new car, and hopefully we will see you back in an RS at some point!

Here it is...the new toy has arrived...250 Cup with Recaros, RS Monitor, Bi-directional Xenons, DRLs....hate to say it but the Megane is worlds apart from the Clio!



Off for a full inspection and diagnostics next week to check it over and then Donington on the 31st, just got to decide whether I want to take it on track as it is or spend a bit on it first!

We’ll see after the full comb through...mainly get it ready for Spa/Nurburgring next year. Possibly some H&R springs, induction kit, recirc valve, decat, map..

Paintwork needs a little bit of attention but will be sorted as and when..!

I would just use it on track now after inspection and see how it gets on, then do stuff slowly, enjoying the evolution of the car.
Too many people (me including) have gone wham and done loads of mods and not enjoyed the car / seen too many changes in one and got bored quicker.

Yeah I was the same with the clio and I think that’s why I fell out of love with it after a while. Going to go very slowly and think about things a lot more with this!

I wasn’t going to but this came up for a great price and I couldn’t say no, needs a few minor dings and scrapes sorting but I’ll get those done once any mechanical work is done that needs sorting. Much much more long term project than the clio, will be keeping this for a good few years providing all goes well...

I want one of these next I think.

I think it’ll stay in the car park for Donny, more than welcome to take it up the road at lunchtime or if you’re about one evening this week give me a message and we’ll meet up if you like! Need to rack your brains for good bodyshops/garages round here anyway.
