Gutted I never properly heard yours before it went, I get the feeling along with the induction kit it’ll make one hell of a racket...
To be fair its only when you hit higher revs it kicks off, I just was not prepared for it! - if they have updated it maybe its quieter now?
Little personal update...just been told I’ve got the job in Birmingham and I start next month!
Now to find accommodation.....Clio will be left untouched for a few months now unfortunately!

Indeed, looking at places over the next week or so. Waiting for the paperwork to come through as that should give me a better idea of exactly where I’ll be!
I’ve been waiting a while for this chance so it’s not getting wasted...still hasn’t sunk in though!
No car parts for a few months though. Snetterton trackday is the day before I start.

Cheers man, I’ve put a lot of time and money into this in the last 14 months, really don’t want to get rid.
Still weighing up my options for a new car to commute with to work...might look at getting a 3 year lease of something like a TDI A1 and find somewhere for the Clio...
Another non-car update! I've been completely AWOL for the last few weeks so thought I best show my face whilst I have a spare minute.
I should be packing right now but I'm procrastinating like mad. Deposit is down on a house share and I move in tomorrow, really close to my depot I'll be working at and close to Central Birmingham too! Start my new career on Monday and it still doesn't feel real.
Big leap for me, I know nobody in Birmingham apart from the two guys I’ll be living with which is kind of scary, but will hopefully make some new Clio friends along with workmates and heading back to college one day a week in September.
Was hoping to get to another trackday soon but it will have to wait until after MOT in September now with everything going on. I do also have access to a driveway, little tight but it should be big enough to get round the car and do a bit of cleaning and maintenance hopefully!
Car is filthy so no current pics, in the meantime here’s a photo from a few weeks back when I got a chance to machine polish it....

Bad news...in a sense. Tentatively offered up the Clio for sale over the last week or so, got some serious interest in it now so it might well be on the way....plate is coming off this week... clears the driveway for something bigger, better and faster after Christmas though....still aiming for a diamond on the front though..! Cheap run around until then.
I'll still be around like a bad smell but this thread might well be finished! Not 100% had the car where I wanted it but if this offer goes through I haven't really lost out, I've just invested my time into it.
What a beaut of a car but sometimes we all have to call time. New job means car is sat around too much and I don't like that at all, bus pass means no need to drive. I can safely say I've taken a standard car and turned it into a complete beast of a track car - also can safely say I'll not own a car that sounds as good as mine for the foreseeable!!!

250/265 is the plan next I think! Devastated but the Clio is too track focused to be a daily round Birmingham, back breaking stuff. Waste of a car too, would have liked to get up to Donny before it went but I’d rather not risk it and stack it! I’ll be at Donny in whatever heap I buy for bridging the 6-8 month RS gap with my helmet for a few passenger laps if you’re around!
Shame I couldn’t 100% finish it off but I’ll be taking my time finding the right car with the right spec and not impulse buying like I did with the Clio. I want any bodywork problems to be of my doing mainly!!
I’m sure I’ll end up back in a 197/200(t maybe...?) at some point...
not a worry young Ben..you have your new job to focus on atm so this can easily wait..im sure you will be back with,as you said,a diamond on its nose

You know me Pav, I'll have a 200 eventually, that was why I bought the R200 number plate!
Just need a bit of time away from it to get my head sorted with my new role etc...Meg 250/265 first, played on my mind for a while so it's got to happen! Then a nice 200 track slag maybe!
If I could justify keeping the Clio on the drive just for track time I would but it's just not worth it unfortunately. Selling her will give me a decent base deposit to work with and a good incentive to get some money put away for 6 months.
P.S. When's the Christmas meal being organised?

Sorry if I was blunt at all on Facebook, had so many people pestering me for bits and as Pav said, new job so didn't really fancy stripping things, got enough to do without annoying my new landlord with half a car stuck on the drive!
