Renault Sport Clio 197 Racing Red

Cleaned the K&N panel filter for the V6 airbox, and while waiting for it to dry, had the Raptor clayed/polished/waxed.

That "Weight savings thread" made me go and weigh my Clio, again.

Differences between the last time (1280kg) and this time are:

Renault Sport Cup Racer 22mm front ARB, UR front strut bar, UR rear 4 point strut bar, UR rear ARB, removed precat & decat.

A little bit under 3/4 of gas in comparison with the last time when it was almost full = 1263kg.

(Yes, that are S3 2009 & Renault Formula 2000 in the background )

I'm very happy with the result - it seems that I haven't gained any excess weight. :drunk:

So adding the extra stuff has made you 17kgs lighter?

Of course not. In the meantime I've removed precat & the cat.

So now without the precat & cat, but with the UR stuff the car is about the same weight.

And this time I had 3/4 of gas compared to the full tank that I had the first time.

Everyone is doing it...so am I.

It took me 1.5h, 2 bucket of water & washing powder & a brush.

And it took another hour for them to dry.

If it was worth it, judge by yourself.

They look a whole lot cleaner, makes you wonder how dirty the belts are on other cars with normal black belts:worried:

I'm gonna tackle the belts in our Twingo this weekend now.

Those belts would look awesome on your car Rene. Dont imagine they'd be cheap though lol.
