Just ordered a 200 cup

Hi all,

I just ordered a Racing Blue 200 cup today. I'm coming from an integra type R (DC2) so I have no need for the FF extras! Only option I've gone for is recaros.

I'm going to miss the integra badly but I was spending a lot on maintenance which I can't justify for a car that I don't really need.

Just waiting for a delivery date from the dealer, what are the current wait times?

Do the new cars come with the RS badges on the grill or is that an aftermarket option?

delivery times can vary massively but can be quite a while as the 197/200 are painted by hand.

yours should come with the new badges with it being a new build.

Thanks Jase. Thats good news as I quite like the RS badges. Are those Renault recaros you have in your 197?

Do they sit a little lower than the standard seats?

they are renault recaros in mine yep, but i retro fitted them as mine didnt come with them.
believe it or not, the recaros actually sit a little higher than the standard seats.

i retro fitted the RS badge on the rear too as i prefer the newer style.

Aw I was hoping they would sit lower! never mind, I'll get used to it.

Are there any basic mods that are recommended? Or have Renault done a pretty good job themselves? I never felt the need to modify the integra as Honda had done such a good job.

We're having a wee meet/rolling road morning type thing at Extreme motorsport in Whitburn a week on Saturday.

You could tag along if you like.

I also have a proper 200 Cup.

the R/B is the best colour to get in a 200 its stunning, just like it is on the 197, lol :tongue_smilie:

yeh you will, i have.
main thing is a decent panel filter.
other than that they are pretty good to start with.
a decent exhaust wouldnt go a miss either as the standard ones are pretty heavy.

Arnold Clark, Pollokshaws. Apparently a Renault Sport specialist. That would be ideal but I'm working that day. What time is it?

Decided it had to be the proper cup, cheaper and lighter.

I considered Albi blue but decided Racing blue looks best with the black detailing on the cup.

Plus I can see a theme developing... the integra was in white, Honda's racing colour. So the clio needs to be in Renaults racing colour!

Is the standard filter a panel filter? Are we talking whole exhaust here from manifold back or cat back?

(Didnt actually realise the dash was different as I only test drove a 200 with cup pack, but like you say, it can't be any worse than the teg).

Ktec are the best place.
they do the filter and exhaust.

cat back is fine.
filter is just panel is standard, induction kits tend to lose power on the 197/200.

Tbh, there aint that many Scots on here. This will be our first meet from on here.

cup has a hard plastic dash
FF has a soft touch dash

door cards are different too, as are the back seats.
