Thanks mate, yes, first TD with the gripper and god what a difference. Very early on the throttle and the line simply does not open at all. On the contrary, it pulls the car to the direction of the steering to the point that the rear can't sometimes follow. In fact, you can see how it works on the first video at 1:45. Exiting the chicane, full throttle, front is getting pulled to the left and the rear simply hasn't got traction to follow. This is oversteer with full throttle on a FWD car lol simply brilliant..

That's exactly the bit that made me ask. Sounds LOADS of fun mate. Might be a step too far for Mrs M but I'd definitely love one in ours!

You are right Mes, such an upgrade requires lots of track time or aggressive driving in general so as to be justified, in Sim's case I think it'd be overkill tbh.

On another note, the rear hubs are being formed as we speak

Sounds awesome! Off to go and find that bit of video now, what type of set up do you have your diff set to? I can't wait to try mine at Cadwell on the 27th!

Mine is set for fast road/track and really glad we eventually opted for that. At the beginning we were talking about fast road but since the car is not being used as a daily any more we went for the more aggressive setup. How about yours?

The invoice that I've got with it comes with from Jade Development says fast road setting.
The diff is pretty much silent in operation which I wasn't expecting at all!
When I've got a wheel off I'm going to measure the break away torque on it. I know it's more than 140nm as I torqued my wheels up with a wheel off the ground last weekend, would be interesting to make a comparison on them though, even though the ramp angles may be different.
In the future I may look at what is involved with rebuilding the diff and adding more preload if I feel it's required on track.

I know right? I was really surprised with how quiet that diff is, I was expecting clicking and knocking etc but nothing at all, just a whining noise when it's cold and you are turning on low speeds which I have to say I like because..race car

Impressive stuff if you do it yourself! Top marks for skills and knowledge mate, I wouldn't even know where to start. I think mine is 80Nm if I take what's written in the box is correct.

Yes mate, revised design and they are now gonna be even lighter! Let's wait and see..

what hot tyre pressures are you running on the AD08R's? last time i had them on 2.2/2.0 bar front/rear. wonder if that's too low. kills the sidewalls.

In fact Peter the car is not too low, it's the pics that make it look like that, especially the rear is quite high up in comparison to other cars on coilovers.

Yes I think it's a bit too low to be honest, I'm measuring in PSI and 2.2 bar is around 32 psi. I'm running 33-34 and 30-31 psi front and rear respectively hot, more than that and you end up ruining the mid area but lower I find them a bit too wobbly for my liking
