Which gear at 30mph?

A pointless question but one i always think about asking whenever i drive my car.

At 30mph ( assuming you do the speed limit ) which gear do you use???

I've always used 4th, maybe cos im used to 5 speed boxes. I know the cars well capable of doing it in 5th but think 4th is better suited lol.

IAM would say 3rd but in the 197 I think 4th is best.

30mph in 4th or 5th gear is, IMHO, torture, that's too low rpm for the 197bhp sports car. IMHO.

And your're driving the car in 5th gear?

2nd gear is all the way to 110 km/h, and you're driving the car in 5th?

I use 5th gear for the speeds >80km/h if I want to drag my arse on the road. :lol:

6th >90km/h

You all probably have much faster cars than mine, because driving the car @ 50km/h in 5th gear would mean that I'm driving it <2500rpm, and that's not acceptable. My car is driven 2500-4500rpm in everyday traffic, mostly @ 3500rpm.
