Paul Platinum Member Jan 3, 2010 #27 Depends on the road and my mood there is no problem being in 6th at 30 with the cruise control on - it will pull up hills with no issues. You have got to love being in fourth - blip of throttle into third - then off like a shot!

R Roas Jan 3, 2010 #29 1st goes roughly up to 35mph, so if you want to give it the beans, has to be 2nd. But obviously not the choice for travelling at a constant speed of 30mph... Engine itself has no problem with pottering along at 1500 rpm tbh.
