Which gear at 30mph?

3rd for busy traffic, or if i have someone that thinks he has importance over me in his BMW X5.. :001_rolleyes:

4th - 6th if the roads are clear.

Depends on the road and my mood there is no problem being in 6th at 30 with the cruise control on - it will pull up hills with no issues.

You have got to love being in fourth - blip of throttle into third - then off like a shot!

Lol not exactly what i was getting at as i cant imagine doing 30mph in 2nd gear????

From what i've learned from my research is most of you dont even drive normally to know what gear you'd use lol.

1st goes roughly up to 35mph, so if you want to give it the beans, has to be 2nd. But obviously not the choice for travelling at a constant speed of 30mph...
Engine itself has no problem with pottering along at 1500 rpm tbh.

Best fuel economy at 4th i reckon, 5th is abit of a labour for it IMO.
