Whats your clio history?

I had a 1.2 (L reg) clio years ago (think I was 19) which was written off by a TWOC, the 182 which I had for 3 years and then sold and now the 200.

I have had other cars in between which are not worth mentioning but wondered what everyone elses "clio" history is

I would be here all day listing the cars and vehicles I have had.

The best car I have owned would of had to have been my mk2 Vts though.

I've never owned a Clio but I'm hoping I'll have a 197 one day.

My first Clio was a Mk1 Ph2 on an R plate. It was a 1.4 RT and I loved it!

Had that probably 3 years and traded 'up' to a Mk2 Ph2 1.2 2002 which I had for close to 5 years.

I then traded that up for my RB 182 on a 2005 plate. I had that 3 and a half years and traded it in for my spangly new Clio 200 in July 2010.

Fourth Clio and counting! :thumbup:

This is my first Clio.

I've had an 89 Civic 1.4 GL. It was pretty quick, twin carb, not injection.

Then 90 CRX 1.6 (non Vtec), very quick car. Put coilies on it, drove like it was on rails.

No car for 5 years due to not needing one, then 18 months in a 96 Escort estate 1.8 Ghia, the 'funbus.'

Love the Clio.

Used to have a black mk3 DCI that I loved but was soooooo slow, spent most of my time with foot to the floor going nowhere and more annoyingly no matter how you drove still returned 49mpg!

Now have my 200 after selling both car and my bike (Triumph Street Triple) and while it's nowhere near the acceleration of the bike it's a lot warmer and comfy and donning leather is optional in a car inky:

Emma has had 2 Clios. A 1.4 Dynamique MK3 and the 200.

The Dynamique came to a sudden and sticky end courtesy of a tool in a Civic Type-R:







It did hurt a wee bit.

This is my first Clio and first Renault

Previous cars were:

1. Vauxhall Astra Van (285'000 miles when I sold it).
2. Citroën Saxo VTR (had this for 7 years).
3. SAAB 93 Aero turbo coupe (mapped to 230bhp).
4. Clio 197...

Second was a brand new 08 plate clio campus sport i-music 1.2 16V which i wrote off had it for 4months
Third was the Saxo VTR had it for 10 months
Now the 197 which i got in July

91, j plate night and day special edition 1.1 clio black was mint . Rolled it .
97, p plate club med 1.2 red clio. Felt slower than the night n day
96 n 1.4 rt dark red I put a valver interior in this and sum wheels , lowered. loved this car. Still see it around where my mum lives occasionally.

Few cars / bikes in between ....

Now 197 r27
