I grew up dreaming of a Clio Williams, Escort Cosworth and Ferrari F40 fantasy garage.

I started driving at 20 (in 2006) in a 106 Rallye 16V, moved to a 205 GTi 1.6, then onto a Puma 1.7 VCT, after that there was an epic Seicetno Sporting track car which took me a year and £5k to build, I then swapped that for a FIAT Coupe 16V Turbo....

At this point I realised my insurance had dropped a sh!tload so it was time for me to get the car (Clio 197) I'd wanted since I was 22. The car in question was the first car I ever drove on track (Feb' 2008) at what's been my second home (Oulton Park) since I was 2 or 3. I did an MSV Racemaster day and it was a great experience.

It reinforced my opinion of the 197 and so 3 years (May 2010) and 4 cars later I bought Nicole.

First Clio.

My normal cars are Mk1/Mk2 Golfs of some kind (i think ive owned 14 Mk2 Golfs in my 12 years driving). Everything from VR6 engined converted Mk2 Golfs, to Mk1 stripped out caged up track day cars running 2.0 16v 200bhp engines. Ive also had a few SEATs, Ibiza FR TDI etc. Golf Mk3 VR6. More recently i had a Mk5 Golf GTI DSG.

As much as i love the Clio, if i dont end up buying it after 3 years and turning it into a track car, ill be getting another VAG car after.
