Trottas 200 RS build thread.

Went to Chelmsford gasworks/legal graffiti wall in wharf road today and took some pics, the sun was at the worst position so casting a shadow where I didn't want shadows but still, pretty cool pictures. Just wish I did my Tyres in some sheen now lol.

What ya think?

Fitted my itg intake the weekend, was a nightmare in the rain but had to be done. Sounds awsome.

Removing the standard intake system was pretty strait forward and with the battery tray out and the base if the tray the silencer is easy to remove.

On the hunt for a tasty cat back next then a map.

Looks good:thumbup:I would get rid of the air ducting i found it ran better without it and sounds a bit better to:thumbup1:just my opinion though.

Cheers fella. I don't like the trunking at all but it's purpose over visuals I suppose. Will try it without though.

Really want an akra now, two for sale in section but I shouldn't ha.

Well I picked up my exhaust today, and of course it had to be the akra.

Was 0.3 miles down the road from me and was from the nicest guy ever. Quality is amazing and being the evolution it's the de cat version so it's going to sound amazing.

Cleaned her up and it will have the tips painted black tomorrow.

No messing around with you eh mate! Those akro carbon tips are going to look mint on the all black look! Post a video up of what it sounds like

Yeah I have to get the best bits, I'm going to be keeping her a while so makes sense in the long run. That's what i tell myself anyways lol.

Yeah the black tips will go nicely with the spoiler end plates and badges once there all done. Can't knock abit of carbon on black.

Well as the sun was out I applied some exhaust black to the tailpipes and main pipes, always nice to keep it clean and I can see myself looking into the carbon tipped holes and seeing dirty pipes, not on ha.

Came out nice, and had to wax her up of course.

As I was fitting my new intake I noticed my throttle body was filthy, so today I removed it but still had the wire connected so I didn't have any issues regards idle fluctuation, just removed the four bolts, 3x8mm 1x10mm. Then the intake hose obviously, and to my surprise it was gunked up pretty bad. So I sprayed it with carb cleaner and let it do it's business, then wiped it all down with kitchentowl, once that was all done I got a paintbrush and gently done all the areas the towl missed, then got a microfiber out and finished up with that. Left it for a while after refitting the body and started her up, idle was above normal around 1300 but settled down very quick.

Must make some difference im sure of it ha.

Well I went for an not last week and I had suspicions of a front knock echoing in my ears so it may fail, and it did on a broken front spring. So I ordered up some Eibach pro kit springs from cazan racing, suburb service, was out if stock but had them shipped directly from Eibach so all here before the weekend, will be fitting tomorrow as it's nice and sunny. My mate is doing the suspension as I will be fitted the akrapovic evo at the same time. Can't wait to see it all done. Will be much nicer knowing I can finally chuck it round the bends.

The he exhaust surrounds never got fitted by the previous owner so unwrapped them and push them in with ease. Suburb well made product.

Some nice updates Craig. Let us know how you go on with the springs.

Finished up about 2-3 hours ago. Went on fine mate. Getting the front shocks off was a nightmare but got there in the end, didn't take the hub off just hit the hub down to release the strut.

Exhausts went on fine aswell, got to let it all settle in then il check and have it geo'd. Can't wait to have it mot'd and drive it now. Cheers for your help mate.

You did it the easy way. You don't have a lot of room when leaving the hub on but it's definitely quicker.

Looking forward to seeing the finished photos of the car

Just a quick shot on the car, will get better ones tomorrow.

Also got my private plate put on, legalish one for the mot. Got a better one that says CR51GY R. My name being Craig I thought it was pretty good.

will get a video soon enough with the itg+akrapovic combined. It's rather excitable for the pants I must say.

Haven't update this in a while, so iv been doing a few things behind the scenes.

I have aver ordered the following.

Cup spoiler.
Cup sideskirts
Ultra racing front brace
Ultra racing rear brace
Osram nightbreakers
New wiperblades

And iv just had the oil, oil filter, gearbox oil and coolant changed.

Going to strip the rear the weekend and carpet the rear or spray black to make it nicer than bare factory paint.

Been busy over the weekend and fitted my Cup rear spoiler and my Cup side skirt skirts. Hada freind help and hold it whilst I drill and that. Was pretty strait forward even with the instructions they give you being mind blowingly confusing ha.

Pics.

Totaly transforms the look of the car and I'm very pleased with the results.

Next is tyres, brakes and iv just placed an order for a fully ported/gas flowed and port matched intake manifolds upper and lower. Should help with my remap figures and drivability down the line. Can't wait to get it fitted.
