Went to Chelmsford gasworks/legal graffiti wall in wharf road today and took some pics, the sun was at the worst position so casting a shadow where I didn't want shadows but still, pretty cool pictures. Just wish I did my Tyres in some sheen now lol.
Well I picked up my exhaust today, and of course it had to be the akra.
Was 0.3 miles down the road from me and was from the nicest guy ever. Quality is amazing and being the evolution it's the de cat version so it's going to sound amazing.
Cleaned her up and it will have the tips painted black tomorrow.
Well as the sun was out I applied some exhaust black to the tailpipes and main pipes, always nice to keep it clean and I can see myself looking into the carbon tipped holes and seeing dirty pipes, not on ha.
As I was fitting my new intake I noticed my throttle body was filthy, so today I removed it but still had the wire connected so I didn't have any issues regards idle fluctuation, just removed the four bolts, 3x8mm 1x10mm. Then the intake hose obviously, and to my surprise it was gunked up pretty bad. So I sprayed it with carb cleaner and let it do it's business, then wiped it all down with kitchentowl, once that was all done I got a paintbrush and gently done all the areas the towl missed, then got a microfiber out and finished up with that. Left it for a while after refitting the body and started her up, idle was above normal around 1300 but settled down very quick.
Well I went for an not last week and I had suspicions of a front knock echoing in my ears so it may fail, and it did on a broken front spring. So I ordered up some Eibach pro kit springs from cazan racing, suburb service, was out if stock but had them shipped directly from Eibach so all here before the weekend, will be fitting tomorrow as it's nice and sunny. My mate is doing the suspension as I will be fitted the akrapovic evo at the same time. Can't wait to see it all done. Will be much nicer knowing I can finally chuck it round the bends.
The he exhaust surrounds never got fitted by the previous owner so unwrapped them and push them in with ease. Suburb well made product.
Finished up about 2-3 hours ago. Went on fine mate. Getting the front shocks off was a nightmare but got there in the end, didn't take the hub off just hit the hub down to release the strut.
Exhausts went on fine aswell, got to let it all settle in then il check and have it geo'd. Can't wait to have it mot'd and drive it now. Cheers for your help mate.
Been busy over the weekend and fitted my Cup rear spoiler and my Cup side skirt skirts. Hada freind help and hold it whilst I drill and that. Was pretty strait forward even with the instructions they give you being mind blowingly confusing ha.
Pics.
Totaly transforms the look of the car and I'm very pleased with the results.
Next is tyres, brakes and iv just placed an order for a fully ported/gas flowed and port matched intake manifolds upper and lower. Should help with my remap figures and drivability down the line. Can't wait to get it fitted.
