Trackspec Clio 197

Went for airtec in the end. Bought a Direnza one but there were no expansion tank take off pipes. Somehow they said this is correct? How I’m supposed to fill the system is a mystery [emoji23]

My fan had also started to play up and the airtec item comes with two already attached.

Classic Renault engineering! Who the “F” decided that you need to remove the bumper to fit the tow eye??

Hopefully this is a useful reference for all of you who have been itching your heads thinking “where’s the tow point!?”

The plan is to take some reference measurements and drill the bumper to take a threaded bar and bow shackle. Much better than a strap and won’t damage the bumper if I ever need to tow it.

Sounds like a good plan. If you want any help for measuring up a bar then just let me know as I run one of the early mk3 cup racer tow eyes on the rear.

Thanks mate. Where did you get the tow eye from too?
It was a lucky find when I went to purchase my seat off a current Clio Cup team. I asked about the fabric type but was advised the early ones were much better as they don't melt from the exhaust heat. The front one doesn't fit my 200 very well but the rear is spot on and I've never seen another car with one.

I did a long lightweight bolt into the toe eye point with a fabric strap on it them coming out through the bumper.
