I'd have to go and get it washed before bringing it to you to wash it...:tearsofjoy:

People will pay top dollar for a mint car. Trust me I did and don't regret a single penny. Will I get it back? Who knows. All I know is I looked at lots of 'mint' examples all over the country which were such dissapointments.

Been here MANY time travelled miles to look at 'MINT' cars... I'm happy to pay extra for the better car to.

My 2p Kev.

I don't use the car at all, I do 4k miles per year and 2.5k is my yearly alpine trip. But it's there when i want to take it for a spin, a track day, a weekend in Wales or a Sunday blast. I've never SORNed it because I want to be able to drive it when I can, spontaneously, good weather, Sunday, nothing else planned, yes please:smile:

Why haven't I sold yet? Cost-benefit analysis, to get something better (for what I want) I'd have to part with a lot of cash, which I'm not willing to do. Love cars but they are not my No1 priority, far from that actually.

In your case, you are lucky enough to have changed a few cars in your time and by the sound of it you can go out and buy something else that does the job for you. I'd say sell mate. Cars are not special objects to be kept in the garage, mint, for the next owner to enjoy. The reason I'm not driving mine is simply because I haven't got time but when I do I love it.

To sum up, if the thrills you are getting when driving it are less than your itch to sell/change then go for it:smile:

Is there reason your looking to sell due to genuinely not getting to use it or due to getting it so clean and pretty you don't want take it out?

If it's the second I pity you as Ive often been afflicted by this situation, I get my car pristine and don't want to take it out, garage queen! Had a supra fro 14 years, put 10k miles on it, looking back on it, total waste of 14 years ownership, don't get me wrong, it's nice having a clean car but not enjoying it for what is ment to do! That's my biggest regret!

I have to say, I envy yannis when I see his Euro trips, his vids, seeing him use the car as it was intended :-(, knowing my car is sitting pretty dosnt quite compare with having a pint in the alps at 6000 or 7000 foot up and balls of rubber hanging off the sidewalls of the tyres!

And watching shuv keep is daily the way he keeps it shows it's possible to keep a car pristine even you use it every day.

If god spares me I want to go on the Euro trip in 2019, I also am considering selling both my cars (well in a year and a half) and getting just one 'dream car' which I'll drive all year round and give it the shuv love!

I was thinking of sorning it december as I know its not going to be used, its been a dry weather car before I owned it sad as it is I love my cars being as tidy as i can keep it, a few on here have seen it and just said its pristine, im sad in that i like to clean it and put it back in its box safe and sound!.

On the flip today weathers really nice she came out today i left for work late so not much traffic, then i get stuck behind a land rover with a trailer as soon as that turned off the magic happens such a good car at the speed limits!

I hear you 100% always been like that with my cars if i had a £50 car i would be the same i like my cars to be clean and tidy as much as i can keep them that way...if i had the same chance when I had my focus rs mk 1 or my elise to have kept it hidden away i would have made money on them! dont think chances of that are happening on the 200 for a while!

Lots of valid points here..you are the owner so the decision is up to you...
Good luck with whatever you you do...

Kev,

The two most important points that you've made are:

1. It owes you nothing.
2. You still love it.

With just those two points alone you'd be daft to sell. If it's to move on to something else, fair enough, but seeing as it isn't, there's no reason to do it. You've put a VERY nice car together there. You'll definitely regret it if you let it go. Hell, you've already let it go and it's back with you. That says it all to me.

Who cares if it's not getting used much. Neither are mine. Just keeps the miles down and means each journey feels more special.

Keep. 100%

Indeed a superb post and i agree with it...would agree more if owned an exige!.

I drove it a few times the weekend as the weathers been superb including a very long way round to my parents late saturday night, it really is a beast of a thing when you hit the go button, but oddly civilised when doing 30 its quite hard to explain.

Drove her to work today as the weather look good again, nice journey to work she really puts a smile on my face and if you know me you know i stick to the speed limits thats what i like about the clio fun car at 20, 30 and 60.

Dropped in conversation with the wife about selling it got the answer i thought i would pretty much the same as you guys here "WTF are you doing that for!"...
