Suj's Nimbus Clio 197 and E36 328i Trackcar

Haha thanks Pav.

I had them in my R27 before it was rear ended (RIP).

They just hug you so much, which gives you confidence in corners, I'm still trying to fine tune my seating position, but up some country lanes going home already so much more supportive.

But I have quite big quads, hamstrings and calves from gym (never miss leg day people), so it's a bit "squashed", but you get used to that.
I had the same issue mate and sitting with my legs closed wasn't an option, but the seats do give way a little eventually without becoming less supporting from what i've found. Also took me a good day and a half to finally get the seat to where it was actually comfortable after messing with the seat rake

Made me laugh earlier today; I have mine as low as they go, but I was messing with the Height and put it as high as they go and my head was touching the roof, I didn't realise they went so high :tearsofjoy:

I unintentionally did the same, as they were already pumped up, so I sat in an was like "what the heck?!"
Then down I went haha.

Yep I'm hoping that happens, as these are like new, so have quite stiff bolsters (Oh baby...lol), so hopefully they settle down, I got the fitted covers to fit to save them from my sliding ass, that'll be a job for tomorrow.

Do you have yours tilted as far upright as it will allow? I've found that the most comfortable.

I'm the same with that Dale, I like to be sat proper upright when I'm driving and the wheel pulled as close as it'll come!

The Recaros look ace Suj, such a great seat in these cars!

Huuuuuuge upgrade mate! They look SO much better. Seeing them side by side like that really makes it stand out.

Word of warning, they're made of butter. Don't even brush the bolsters when getting in or they'll be wearing through in no time!

You must be properly thrilled with those.

Yep I do the same, I hate sitting leaning all the way back, I sit very upright and quite close for someone my heigh as people keep telling me (5'11").
It's the most comfortable also allows me to drive it properly when a country road appears by "accident" haha

Thanks Jammy, agreed mate.

Haha yep Mes, I had them in my R27 before it was rear ended on the motorway (I only had it 5 weeks :worried: )

I actually bought this car on a Saturday from
Preston, drove back to Brum, then Sunday I was doing a round trip to High Wycombe for these, as I knew I had to have them!

Yeah I have some Capital Seating covers to go on, so will use them day-to-day, then take them off for trackdays etc.

A tip I found is, get the seat in position, then put a tiny line of electrical tape where the top part of the belt buckle (seat end) is aligned on the centre console.
Then move the seat all the way back getting in and out the car

Thanks Ben, no where near yours, roll on those ASTs, my God it'll be worth the wait!!!

The Recaro's are a game changer on yours for sure, instant transformation to the look of the interior and they are a great seat for both performance and comfort. Looking forward to seeing your progress :thumb:

Totally agree, it's mental how much of a difference in looks it gives alone.
Yep the confidence it gives is great for corners, now that I have found the correct seat position lol.

First weekend off in ages, so I washed the car (sorry no pics, as it bloody started raining after lol), I then changed the bulb that went, forgot how much of a pain it was, doesn't help I have spades for hands lol, but there is now Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited in both (there already was, but I swapped both, kept one unblown as a spare).

I also forgot pics of when I put the steering wheel insert in (pardon my flakey wheel, it's on my list of things to get done lol).

I also put my Capital Seating covers on, they seriously need ironing, but I just wanted to get them on ASAP to stop potentially killing the seats, as they are in very good condition.

Also I may have got something coming soon, I said I wouldn't....but looks like I have no self control haha, so watch this space....

Enough of the teasers!

What you got? Do I have an idea what it might be?

You might do....you might not (SHHHHH either way haha) :tongueout:

Nope, it already has a Milltek Resonated on.

But you did remind me I forgot to say I have a Toyo Manifold to go on, totally forgot:

Manifold_zpsdya7c3xs.jpg

So long story short, guy bought my old R27 (being broken on here), contacted me regarding info about cambelt etc, I sent him the paperwork and spare key, he then decided to break it.
I then managed to buy back the Toyo Manifold (PS he's a top guy).

I wonder how the Toyo would perform with a standard system?

When I spoke to Engine Dynamics, they said due to different exhaust runner lengths, they have to do a bit more work to get it running as OEM manifold.
But my old one drove so nice, it was a Toyo Manifold > Standard Cat > Milltek and pulled really well.
My mate had a Dyno Graph from DynoDaze in Hinkley and it made 192bhp (numbers mean nothing I know), but graphs looked good and there wasn't much of a flat spot.
So you may need a map after

Good result on the manifold mate!

And REALLY looking forward to the coming update!!!

So am I, but it'll be a while before any real update.
I really need to get out on track, we are planning to book one soon though.

That's very interesting to know - I wonder what 'work' has to be done. I may give him a call.
From my Google search, it seems a remap is an absolute must with the pre-cat removed.
The only thing that puts me off is the cost of it all - £180-200 (mani), £265 (fitting), £400 (remap) = £845-865 for one job :worried:
